Hello everyone! Until now I’ve been a silent spectator however I just had a quick question and was hoping someone would be able to shed some light. I applied for citizenship in April and therefor I’ve been tracking this forum.
I received 2 calls this morning from an unknown number, followed up by an email that went as follows:
Sender: LastName, FirstName (IRCC/IRCC)
Subject: Canadian citizenship application
Body:
“Good Morning,
I tried to get a hold of you to go over your application for Canadian Citizenship but it did go to voicemail. Could you please provide your current phone number and preferred time of contact? Please keep in mind it will show up as no caller ID.
Thanks
(FirstName)
London IRCC”
It had no email signature at the bottom. The email it was sent from is FirstName.LastName@cic.gc.ca. However I’m very used to IRCC emails being very professional. Stating part of your application number/name. My AOR was sent from the Sydney office and fingerprints to Vancouver. So I’m unsure why I’m being contacted by someone from London IRCC. Is it normal for an officer to try and contact you this way? Or would it be through the tracker.
Anyways sorry if it’s a stupid question! Any insight would be appreciated!
