Hi all, Today I checked my tracking and Scheduled for oath on October 4th, 2023.

Same for me, was hoping to have the passport before the thanksgiving long weekend

Did my fingerprints on June 5th. IRCC said they didn’t receive it and sent me a final request for FP letter on august 2. I sent the proof that I had already done the FP. Still my status never changed. I finally gave in and did another FP yesterday. Hopefullly IRCC received and updated my status.

Thanks for responding. I sent a request to RCMP to resend my results to IRCC. They are super slow, idk how long they will take to respond. they took 5+ weeks to respond to my previous email. I think I will also send in new fingerprints to RCMP if they don't respond in the next couple of weeks.

Yeah you are right some people even received it same day if it's urgent.

Just checked and tracker updated Aug 28, 2023 "Citizenship test status has been updated to Completed."
Fingers crossed for the LPP completed & Oath ceremony soon.

The time it takes is entirely random. Some get LPP in a few weeks others wait months and sometimes more than a year. I've been waiting since June so I requested GCMS notes yesterday to see where it's stuck.

How long it takes from test complete to LPP complete

My test completed on July 18th. Still waiting for LPP since then.

My LPP completed on Aug 22. Still no update regarding to oath. It seems still “Not Started”. I was wondering what is max time to get oath invitation after LPP is done? Does anyone know? Because usually it takes 2 weeks

I'm yet to take my Oath ceremony, but before receiving my Oath Ceremony Schedule email, I got an email with below content detailing about how to download the e-certificate. (It also included my unique Invite code to register in IRCC Portal)


IRCC Portal
• This is where you will download your e-Certificate.
• You must first create an account on the IRCC Portal using the email address you provided in
your Citizenship application. If you have previously used the IRCC Portal for a Temporary Residence application you may log in using your existing account.
• The IRCC Portal can be accessed here: https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signup?lang=en
• Your invitation code: XXXXXXXXX

Your Citizenship Ceremony
• At your citizenship ceremony, you will be instructed to submit your Oath or Affirmation of
Citizenship with an electronic signature, or a printed and signed PDF attachment.
• Once this information is received, your e-Certificate will be available for download within 2 to 5
business days.

Downloading your e-Certificate
• Log into your IRCC Portal account:
• Select “Citizenship – Download Citizenship e-Certificate”.
• Enter your UCI, Application number and date of birth.
• Select “download” to access your e-Certificate.
• This will trigger your browser to open or save the file. Additional action might be required depending on your browser.
• You may return to the Portal any time to download your e-Certificate
