Same here. But i don’t think it was by default. Quite confused actually. I think, before it showed we will let u know once we start your bg check and next day changed to processing your bg. Will let u know if we need more info.

just confirming is it me or more people are getting the same update/status.

Actually, iam also not sure about it. but to keep my sanity i decided that it was default status only. No point dwelling much into it.

Have some doubts on documents filing ,
1. current closed work permit expires May25 2023, waiting for extension approval, PCC. Since SIN, address proofs won’t valid beyond May 25. Should I wait for extension approval to submit proofs or I can submit before extension?
2. "Employment Records" : Have Experience letter, Pay slips, do we need any other letters ?
3. "Proof of upfront medical exam" : done 2 years back for work permit in India.
Should I take new one or not . If not , what are all documents should be added ?
4. Since am in closed work permit , what should I add in "Proof Of Financial Support" section ?

1) submit the current permit with submission letter for the new permit
2) These are enough; just make sure you have your duties written in the letter.
3) If you are in Canada, I think you are exempted just provide IME/UMI numbers
4) You are a CEC applicant; hence, no POF is required

How would you know that R10 is completed? Do they send some AOR(R10 Passed) specifically for R10? It is mentioned on IRCC that they send AOR for R10 passed. Anyone got it from here?
