My wife's application for Study permit has been approved and she received PPR just today . Application received April 14, 2022 non-SDS. My own application for another Study permit for myself is still in progress. Application received Mach 16, 2022. Still stuck with Review of Eligibility for almost a month now. I don't know what's happening with my application.

Program: MASTERS

Application: 11 Feb
Biometrics: Done from a first refused attempt which I got the decision in 50 days only.
Medical result: Not Needed
Review of eligibility: Not yet and no update yet since the application confirmation.

So, it's been around 120 days (4 months) = more than 16 weeks without any update.

You sent webforms and emails? If not you should try; I know some that send them daily. Might help. You could also do medical upfront to have it updated so the vo sees.

They have reopened my file after the reconsideration request and asked for updated LOA. Eligibility also started again.

The refusal grounds in GCMS notes were: weak financial, 2nd master, and single independent.

I have a fully funded M.Sc position leading to Ph.D. within 6 months with $30K CAD per year. Chinook was used

For reconsideration, I wrote a Letter of Explanation explaining all the reasons of refusal, and attach the funding letter within again

Reading the information in various forums, it appears Non-SDS/regular track is getting faster processing times vs SDS. Would anyone know if submitting a new application via non-SDS/regular track WHILE SDS application is still pending is allowed by the IRCC? Thanks for any insights!
