Seeking an expert advice.
AOR- Apr 07 2020, CEC applicant
Still no update in the application.
Planning to get married. Had to postpone marriage two times Dec 2020 and May 2021 waiting for decision.
Now looking for Plan B to get married in July 2021 since waiting is not worth.

Watched several videos about adding spouse accompanying and not accompanying after AOR.
My queries:-
1) which is best option accompanying or non accompanying to be on safer side?
2) Proof of funds to be shown. accompanying and not accompanying.
3) Should I wait further for the decision or choose Plan B (haha..LOL) ?

Thanks.
Any small suggestion is appreciated. so please dont ignore.
stay safe and take care.

1. Accompanying is always better interns of time and money. If you declare your spouse as accompanying, their documents will be processed and both, your spouse and you , will get a COPR together. If you declare your spouse as non-accompanying, you will have to file a family sponsorship later, and it can take 12 months for it to process.

Also currently most applications are on hold, so accompanying would be better.

2. If you add your spouse, even if they are accompanying or not, you have to declare the PoF for all family members. As per IRCC:

Include your spouse or dependent children even if they’re

  • permanent residents or Canadian citizens
  • not coming to Canada with you
See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html

3. That is your choice. IF you get married, you have to declare it. When you do, irrespective of accompanying or non-accompanying, you will have to submit your spouse documents, and they will have to be processed. So who not declare them as accompanying since it will not affect your CRS or eligibility.

It seems that your criminality and security also finalized, so maybe they will send you the final decision very soon ;)
Hope its soon. I'm seeing several people who passed everything last year but still not approved. My OHIP and work permit is expiring in July and even if I apply for a wp extension I wont get the OHIP with implied status

:rolleyes:It is so sad to hear, I hope that I get PR before getting Covid and die

Maybe they should hire more staffs from educated people of university, at least we can read 20 paper and write report and check documents very fast, it is a question that how long it takes for each document to be reviewed!!

This could be an example of an application which was actually opened, evaluated and processed. I wish every one of us had a simple and sweet straight forward process :))
