Hi Team, I hope I can get clarification on a specific "letter request" sent by CIC today.
Type: Express Entry - CEC Inland
ITA: March 6th, 2019
AOR: April 1st, 2019
Application Status: Medical Passed, need additional documents - IMM15406 (Additional Family Information)
My common-law partner is a Canadian citizen and we both live together in Canada.
CIC is asking me to complete the above form, but the upon opening the form, it clearly states that BOTH the principal application (myself) and the common-law partner (my partner) must complete the forms separately; hence 1 for me and 1 for him. I am somewhat confused by this as he is a Canadian citizen, living in Canada, and his family also lives in Canada.
If he should complete a separate form, I am confused what he needs to enter under "Section A" of the IMM15406 form. Does he also include ME as the PRINCIPLE APPLICANT and HIMSELF as the "Common-law partner" and continues to enter his family information (mother, father, sisters)?
Maybe i am overthinking this, but i am concerned that when I submit the merged IMM15406 forms, they will see my name and his name as Principle Applicant and Common-law partner respectively, but then cannot tell the difference on which form belongs to who. I guess via last names you can "figure it out", but what is the actual procedure here? Should I include a cover letter explaining that the 1st page of the Merged PDF is Mine and 2nd page of the PDF is his?
Thank you for your advice
