Our app was received 23 April and I haven’t heard anything. My husband is American and I’m Canadian. We are using mississauga office and I live in ottawa. I see others on our 23 April date received AOR - I hope this doesn’t mean we have to redo the application!!
Can someone pls let me know what number I need to call for an update?

You're well within AOR times. They don't come in a linear order. If you call, they won't be able to tell you much, unless the application is being returned. I would wait a bit more before spending time on hold with them, to be honest.

Hi! Yes you can be confident it won’t be returned! Congratulations! ECAS is an online tool where you can check the status of the app. You can check with your UCI. You can get your UCI on gckey. ECAS is both for PA and Sponsor

So now, we wait for them to review background then give us a decision, is that correct? If decision is approved then visa/passport will follow decision?

That is correct! I think it’ll go pretty fast after bc it’s in Mississauga. also depending on your case you might get an interview.

Thanks, yes it seems that applications go pretty fast there. Do you know what or why they would want an interview? My application is for me only (husband and children are citizens), we have been married for 10 years in Aug and been in the same house... pretty straight forward, older couple with kids... would that typically get an interview request?

Just So excited. Found our application on GCKey account and linked it first try. Application received April 26 and in our account today. No email yet. But I now have the case file number. That is only 34 days from receipt. Hope all else goes well. Good luck to all the other April 26th applicants.

Depends on the officer lol but it sounds like you wouldn’t have a problem! Good luck!

Are we able to call the Mississauga office regarding AOR? They received mine April 17th but still no response? Im worried.

Did you got any update? My application was received on 17 April and haven't got any AOR yet.

Even though it is still within time period of 8 weeks. But, if it was me I would still call IRCC to get update as April 27th applicants have their AOR already. Also, one applicant from April 25 called yesterday and got AOR today. So, try to call them, early mornings are the best time to get hold of an agent. All the best!!

Can you please help how to speak to a real agent. I tried calling this morning and the automated telephone service asks for application number. I couldn't found any other way to speak to an agent. Please help. Thanks

Call them at 1 888 242 2100
Then select options 2 1 1 0
Try calling around 8 am wait will be about 30 to 45 minutes but keep hanging there. In the beginning it might keep saying can't connect to agent or call queue full but keep trying again and again. It will go through after 4 or 5 times.
