I filed my spouse's case in April, 2018. My spouse is in India right now. Immigration received file on April 05, 2018. Here is what i see when I check the status.

1. We received your spouse's application for permanent residence on April 5, 2018.
2. We started processing your spouse's application on June 26, 2018.
3. We sent medical instructions to your spouse on May 25, 2018. To avoid delays, please provide us with the information requested as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
4. Medical results have been received.

File was sent to Delhi on June 26, 2018.
No correspondence was received after that.
When should I expect the next update and what it could be?

We got an email saying our marriage certificate was invalid because it didnt have the date and county we were married in.. which it didnt!! I cant believe I didnt notice that. I ran around and got two different kinds of certificates yesterday and resubmitted. I so hope we hear soon. Our goal is to be back by Christmas. My dad passed suddenly in February and I promised my mom we would be with her for Christmas.

Yes i m very hopeful too, our files got transferred to new delhi for further processing but since then we havent heard anything, it keeps showing “in process” or background check in process

We received COPR yesterday!!! When we sent the passport photos to the embassy in Paris we included a little handwritten note stating that it would be preferable if the COPR could be sent to the sponsor's address in Ottawa if at all possible, as PA is here for a visit. I had very little expectation that they would actually do this, but today we got it in the mail here in Ottawa

Now trying to decide whether to go to the States sometime this month and have him land, or wait until he comes back for good in November.

Hello friend, i have a same timeline as you, file started processing on June 26, 2018, I think we have to wait bit more becz VO are still on Nov applications. Finger crossed.. hope we ll hear something soon.
