Did our Oath today .9 year journey from the day we applied for Residency.
Proud Canadians!

I took the Oath this morning in Mississauga along with 122 new Canadians. I live in Whitby and had interview in Scarborough, so the Oath Ceremony is not always in the same place as the test.
If you are planning on bringing young children, be prepared that the clerk will ask you to leave the room with your child if they are talking/crying.

Good luck to all who are waiting for test &/or oath

Hey guys. I'm still IP from July 2018, but my agent has a job lined up for me to travel with a private family to the States. I know you can apply to haste ones application for this kind of thing. What to do? Do I call them and send them the contract? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
I do not think that will qualify for urgent processing. You don’t have a US visa ?

One final update on my application
  • Decision Made: Jan 30, 2019
  • Oath Letter: Feb 7, 2019
  • Oath Ceremony: Mar 1, 2019

A fun and amusing fact is that the oath ceremony was labeled as a "special one", happening in Vancouver Convention Center during a Fan Expo event.. and will have "special" guest stars.. Imagine Batman or Superman handing over the papers :D

Anyway, best of luck to everyone here.. It's been a fun year of waiting..
Oh man! I wish I were in that one!! Mine is a week after in Vancouver also, March 8th! Dang im jelly haha congrats!

Hi friends, if your current status since last 6 months is unemployed, so you think it will affect ( delay in the decision ) on the citizenship case.

My presence days are completed in this April 2018, after parental leave i did not join the last job and can not able to find any other good job.
No. Don' t think so.

Question, i have renewed my original passport, do i need to provide a copy of the new passport through webform to be included on my application?

I assume the new passport will not be within the eligibility period, thus there is no need to inform CIC about this.
However, bring it with you when you go for test/interview to be on the safe side.
