Surely. Every day, I consulted my email (inbox, spam/junk) without any positive sign. When we passed the test, in the entrance, an agent from cic spoke to us to form two lines, one formed by people who received the invitation (letter or email) and an other line without invitation. With invitation letter, there are maybe 20 people and without invitation letter (found in ecas only) are more than 40 people. For our line, he took our PR card to check if we are in the list of the test and after that he returned us our PR card and he allowed us to enter to the local where we found a woman with the list of people allowed to passed the test and I asked her why we didn't receive the invitation by letter or email and she told me that this problem is frequent these days but I didn't find any problem to pass the test and the interview.

Thanks for the feedback I will keep an eagle eye on my ECAS then. Our App has been IP since June

I called CIC call center and came to know that my file is been processed in Scarborough office. Does any of you have any idea about Scarborough office processing time ? In process since July 25th !

My office is also Scarborough. In process since July 7th. This office is notoriously slow to arrange oath dates also. I would say both of us are having the worst of luck :D

I'd imagine Scarborough gets an insane amount of cases to process given it's proximity to Toronto so not surprising that it's one of the slowest. Pretty sure my application is there too and IP since mid July. Just resigned myself to the fact that it will be at least 10-12 months processing. Anything before that is a bonus.

Called CIC this morning to check on my application - Just in case I missed anything. I have been told everything is good and application has been sent to Kitchener office for processing. All I can do it WAIT then~ ( IP July 17,2018 )

Btw, does anyone know any info about Kitchener office ? Thanks in advance.

In my case, I didn't receive any thing (email neither letter) just they added a line on my ecas. I spoke to many people during the test and most of them are in my case, they discover that they have a test by consulting their ecas.
That's the case with me too. I got the update in ecas 2 days ago, and no email or letter so far. The ecas says I will receive a mail, but I haven't received anything yet!
I am in Edmonton btw.

Hi all,
I have some questions. I appreciate if you can help me with some guidance and answers:

1. Is their discover Canada book enough for the test? I also found some online tests that I will practice those as well.
2. Is the test difficult to pass?
3. What do they ask in the interview session?

Thanks everyone.

FYI: Just talked to an agent at IRCC regarding my status. My file has been transferred to Mississauga and been waiting there in a queue for test invite. Apparently Brampton residents are reviewed by Mississauga office.

I got my GCMS notes this morning. Processing office is Scarborough. This is my current status:

  • Clearance Request: RCMP Y
  • Knowledge: Not Started
  • Residence: Not Started
  • Language: Not Started
  • Prohibition: Not Started
  • Criminality: Passed
  • Oath: Not Started
It looks like there has been little to no activity on my file since July.

Still waiting on my wife's notes to come through.
