I'm in Toronto and I checked No for that question. I doubt I'll ever live in Quebec and I didn't want it to look like I intended to live there by checking yes.

Edit: The application also says this right underneath -

Whether you answer yes or no is completely your choice. Your answer will not affect your citizenship application. Inclusion in the permanent list is not mandatory.

Thanks

I posted my application. When I got back home I realized I forgot to send copies of COPR for my kids. Although I did send mine and my spouse but forgot to send copies of COPR for my kids. Will this be a problem. Do I need to send them or not. Please if anyone can tell

Pretty sure the application package does not need copies of COPR. I believe you only need to bring originals of those at the interview stage but I stand to be corrected on that.

Question:

If I gonna get AOR means than my application it's ok without mistakes? And they will not sending it back? How long I have to wait for AOR I'm in Winnipeg My timeline:
APPLICATION SEND: 2018/04/06
DELIVERED: 2018/04/12

Are they asking about criminal records?

I have send my application on April, 02 , received on April, 04 and still waiting for AOR. Some one in the same boat.

Do you need a valid passport for surrendering the Indian passport after receiving Canadian passport? If an Indian passport is expiring before getting a Canadian passport, is it mandatory to renew the Indian passport? I am in the same boat and that's why asking, I don't want to renew my Indian passport unless I really have to. Also, I have no travel plans coming up so don't really need a valid passport.
I don't believe there is a requirement that you have a valid passport for your citizenship process.

Just got by AOR email today (May 7). Please update the tracker!

Cheers!

Good evening everyone! Good luck to all April 2018 applicants. Exciting times.

My application was received on April 6th. Haven't received AOR yet. I guess things are slowing down, its been more than a month for majority of April applicants who are still waiting for acknowledgment.

Hello - my non-Canadian passport expires in July 2018 and I got my AOR on April 23rd, what is the process involved with urgent processing, has anyone had any experience with the process and does it slow down you application - does it make sense and based on current times it does not look like you will get to oath time until October 2018.. thanks for any help with this

Hi can you include me in the list, I sent our applications April 6, received on April 10, got our AOR May 7. From Calgary, thank you

AOR: Acknowledgement of Receipt (email or physical mail informing you that your application has been received)

Your application will go "In process" when your file is sent from Sydney (where you originally sent your application) to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) office closest to your home for processing.
During "In process" state, the CIC office will complete all the verification and background checks and you will be sitting for the citizenship test and interview.
Once you pass all of this and CIC is convinced you meet or do not meet the eligibility criteria, your application will change to "Decision Made" and you will be waiting for oath invite (if your application has been accepted).
