Hi,

You should have more than 1095 for safety/security.
Also, you need to discount the days that you traveled outside of Canada during that 5 years period.

Thank you for your response!

I returned to Canada back in Oct2015 and have never left since. Though I became a PR in May 2011 and was away for four year.. I know they only look at the previous 5 years. So if I apply Nov2018, they will be looking from Nov 2013, correct?

Nov2013-Oct2015 - I was outside of Canada
Oct2015-Nov2018 - I am 100% I have been living and working inside Canada

How much buffer do you think I need? And would the fact that I was away in the first two years of that preceding 5 years cause a negative effect on my citizenship application?

No vacations or day trips outside of Canada since Oct 2015?

Not a single day. 100% sure. Only trips were inside Canada - went to Toronto for 10 days in January 2017 and 4 days in Vancouver last Dec 2017. I live in Calgary.

To answer your first question, you might give a buffer of a couple weeks to be sure your math isn't off. Most people that are applying have similar situations that they lived elsewhere for the proceeding period of time. It's not a problem, in general, but just make sure you provide a police certificate (PCC) for any country in which you spent a total of 183 days (in total, not just consecutive) during that time period.

Sounds good. I was told I only need pcc from countries where I lived for more than 183 days in the last 4 years, not 5...

How did everyone receive AOR? My application was received on April 3rd and still no AOR.
I am somewhat afraid if AOR was sent to a wrong email address if it was only an email acknowledgement.

Thanks

I see from a later post that you have a copy of your original application so I'm assuming you know which email address you gave them so you're worried that they accidentally sent it to the wrong email address. Don't worry, as you can see from the database, your application and mine were both received on the same day, but other people who had theirs received days later, already received AOR sooner than both you or I.
Just relax and let the wheels of bureaucracy move. Different applications are on different desks, in different piles, being looked at by different people and will move at different speeds.
At this moment in time there is absolutely nothing to be worried about, I wasn't expecting to get an AOR this soon and was fully prepared to wait a couple of months at least. I'm sure you'll get yours in the coming days or week or two.

Yes, last 4 years. Nov 2014 - Oct 2015 is when you weren't in Canada. Were you in any country during that time period for a total of 183 days?

Yes I was in the Philippines. I lived in the US July 2013 to July 2014 but that's not counted right so I don't need to get FBI clearance from my understanding. I did visit the US again in dec 2014 but less than 30 days

Would you guys add my details to the tracker system.
