Yes thats a trend nowadays, don't know the reason. Also check if you have skipped IP1 phase and moved to IP2 direct.
IP1, IP2, NA1, NA2 etc are statuses made up by CIC applicants over the years. CIC officially don't endorse any of these, but it can be used as an approximate indicator of where you are at in the process. But recent direct jumps to IP2s have skewed this approximation methodologies. So do not rely on this much.
Ordering a GCMS note after a month is a sure shot way of knowing your status.

It's so confusing.
Do u think mine is IP1/2
IP2 Background message is: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
IP1 Background message is: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Again, this way of assessing progress is skewed now. So don't rely on this much.
All countries PCC are mandatory. You should submit with all PCCs that they have asked to upload. If you cannot get it somehow, you should write an explanation describing why and your efforts/proofs in getting the PCC in the optional document upload. But CIC will decide whether to give you extra time or reject your application.
I mean can I submit them later , I still have time for 90 days , however I don't want to hold the process because of PCC। , what do you say ?
