I got the following reply for a CSE that I raised few weeks ago. Sounds like a very generic reply to me...

Hi,
I got ppr on the 26th of July sent passport , photographs and everything.

Today I got a message that my medical was expired on the 9th of August and I had to redo one...
I am so fed up and tired , more money to spend and all.... especially at the end of the process.
I called CIC they said that the COPR was linked to the medicals validity that's why...and that it was too late to extend it.
I don't know why the validity of the COPR is important because we are already inland....
Just fed up of all this

Well, looks like it's my turn! Just got the PPR email. FSW-O, single candidate, primary office Ottawa. Now, I need to figure out how to get the passport to them, since I'm an Indian national residing in the US.

Congratulations :)
