Are you a non resident in Canada? Do you pay taxes? Are you willing to resume residency in your January return and pay taxes from January?

I'm a Canadian citizen. Moved to East Europe ONLY to stay with my husband while waiting for his PR. Worked for Canada until March 2016 when moved to get married. Did pay taxes of course.

Hello po! Sa mga nagsubmit n po ng PPR magkano po yug bnyaran nyo na mga service fee po n nkalagay dun sa email? Salamat po

My wife landed on Dec 24. She told me that the officer wrote down our address when she landed as they had only her home country address on file. I check the online status and it says that she landed but the address is still the home country.

Do they send the PR card to the address as written down or the address of the sponsor (I got mails from CIC)? Should I contact them to update the mailing address?

Thanks in advance.

Wait... did you declare non resident for tax purpose back in March when you left Canada? If not, why would your VO question your intention to move to Canada? You can just show they your driver's license, club cards, credit cards, tax returns.

If you did declare non resident for tax purpose, then it would be hard for your VO to believe you would want to move back only months after you left. In this case, I don't think you have a choice but to "resume residency" asap and only "travel" to see your husband after you have everything setup (credit card, medical plan, driver's license) back in Canada.

It's all about the intention, the proofs/evidences show your intention. As long as the officer is not convinced in your intention to live in Canada after your husband PR is approved, they just won't approve your husband's PR.

We had a similar situation as I changed our address in Canada and had not yet let CIC know. They recorded the new address at the border and two months later the card came in the mail. You will most likely be fine.

Awesome! Thanks :)

Update to spreadsheet please:

COPR arrived Tuesday 10th January. Heading to the border sometime in the next few days to land.

Cheers!

Are you in Canada already? My wife is waiting for her PR application, wants to enter Canada as a visitor regardless of approval and flagpole when COPR received. Is it desirable for her to change the mailing address to that of Canada's or better to keep it and have her relative sent her the COPR?

We already live in canada since my spo first entered on his IEC, but i cant really answer about copr snd change of address..i just know that here my spo (PA)had to go to the post office to sign for his COPR when it came, they didn't just drop it in the mailbox, so the same may happen, where she needs to be there for it wherever they send it.

Hi prvc,

please help me. You also face the same situation. Did you got us pcc done?

Please help me to understand this. My FBI request was delivered today. I sent it on 1000 Custer Hollow Road Clarksburg, WV 26306. I was wondering why it was sent on a different postal code? Is it the same place or not? I searched other people's tracking info via Google and found out that theirs were sent on FBI with postal code 26306. This can be a glitch in the system. But I do not know it for sure.

Here's my tracking info from USPS:

Your item was delivered at 12:07 pm on December 14, 2016 in CLARKSBURG, WV 26301 to FBI EXPRESS. The item was signed for by L WAGNER.

14/12/2016 12:07:00 United States of America (the) 26301 Deliver item (Inb) Air Signed By : LWAGNER
13/12/2016 11:50:00 United States of America (the) 26306 Unsuccessful item delivery attempt (Inb) Air Reason : Addressee has P.O. Box Measure : Addressee advised to pick up the item

Thank you

Hi there,

My materials were delivered today just now and I realized the same thing, as it shows "Your item was delivered at 12:13 pm on January 13, 2017 in CLARKSBURG, WV 26301 to FBI EXPRESS. The item was signed for by L WAGNER." So have you already figured out what is going on here? Is it just a glitch? Does it matter?

If you have some thought, please let me know and thank you so much!

Cheers!

In other news, spreadsheet has been updated. Sorry it took me a while. I was on xmas and new years break!

Only spotted 3 updates, so if I missed any, please let me know!

Thanks - here's another one for us - my spo got the COPR Jan 10.
A pretty one will be that we're moving in february (local move) and hoping the PR card makes it to the correct address on time :P
I wonder if we can do a change of address when we go flagpoling

Congrats JamesBox, looks like we had about the same timeline :)
