Any way *Ski that is all I know , maybe other professional will help you more..
If you think that everything is concluded then send your passport simple.
@Charcal the simple truth is to wait ...be patient OK.. They will contact you when the time is right

Thanks anyway for the suggestion. The good news is that she has 60 days to send her passport and not the usual 30 days. That's whats written in the PPR email. She is going to the ministry of interior to request for a police clearance in a few days. Let's see what they say.

Hello everyone, first post, but have been reading this site for a long time.
I am from the USA and my wife is a Canadian Citizen. Our marriage proposal was on New Years eve and we married in February.
Just wanted to see if anyone could offer any insight on my current situation:

Category........: FAM
Visa Office......: Mississauga
Med's Done.....: 23-02-2016
Bgnd Check.....: Upfront
App. Filed.......: 07-04-2016
AOR Received.: 08-04-2016
SA.................: 03-08-2016 (one form was not signed)
Add. Doc's......: 10-08-2016 (requested proof of ongoing relationship)
AOR 2............: 11-08-2016
File Transfer...: 25-10-2016

I received an email from Ottawa on October 25th that stated my files were transferred to Los Angeles for further review.

"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Your application has been transferred to the visa office in Los Angeles, CA, USA for further review of your eligibility and admissibility for a permanent resident visa."

I was wondering if this is a normal part of the process, or does this mean an interview might be needed.

Many thanks for any help.

Thanks for the help. The one thing I did notice on October 22nd on My CIC dashboard that A background check is needed changed to in progress. Kind of wondering also if my FBI clearance documents are considered expired.

We have a very similar story, my husband is also American and our marriage proposal was on New Years eve as well and we married in March. ;)

Manila applicants:

Wife picked up passport yesterday.

On the Manila VFS Services website, it says: Passport Collection: 15:00 - 16.00
It means they are open for you to pickup your passports during that time (they are not collecting passports, they are returning passports).
Don't get confuse like we did, Wife went early and spend a few hours waiting. :(

Original Documents :
Also, they gave her back her original birth certificate. Not the Marriage certificate. I assume anything that can be gotten from NSO will not be given back.

Got her stamp from Philippines Overseas Commission today.
Everything is all good.

Hope your waiting will be over soon too.

My application has been approved! I don't know exactly when because I didn't receive a status update email. I so hope that I'll receive COPR quickly because I'm going to fly over there on the 8th of November. Any estimations on how long that normally takes?

congrats! did you just log in and see it was approved?

I see this on my notes "File to Canada-based Officer to proceed with statutory assessment", what is "statutory assessment"? How long will it take? The note was on Sep 12.

any april applicant got thier ppr recently? thanks

I'm not sure if this means I'm approved. But this is what shows up in the NEW CIC:

Application/profile status Closed
Review of eligibility Passed
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview
A background check is needed Complete
Final decision This application has been approved

The old CIC shows that medical has been received. and Applicant is in process.

Does this mean my wife and I have completed everything? That only the PPR coming is the last step?

Timeline is Apr files went in.
April AOR1
June SA Approval
June AOR2
Oct CIC update

I suspect they are assessing your common law relationship. Did you provide a statutory declaration? How long is anyone's guess.
