summer months, slower times at VOs I assume. Holidays etc. London hasn't had much relief with backlog work recently as still has a lot of strain from a multutude of different applicants. seems like it ground to a halt for the last few months though with no real progress made since october applicants last year. almost 12 months for some people. me being at only 5 months doesn't make it seem like its almost over though.

Probably part of the new govs inland family application process. They said they wanted to reduce inland wait times.

Like if I'm ivory coast and my application address in Nigeria, if I send passport from ivory coast will It complicates matter?

So I finally got my GCMS notes this weekend, 40 days after applying. Nothing has changed since the last GCMS notes. Eligibility, Criminality, Security not started. Medical passed but was passed in previous GCMS notes too.

Do you think I should apply for next set of notes right away or wait for a couple of weeks?

I'd wait until something changes in MyCIC to be honest. Im pretty sure after i ordered my ntoes, nothing has happened. Im going to wait until theres some evidence of movement in my file (such as something changing to in process) and then I'll order some a week or so later to see what theyve said.

I would not count on mycic to be your source of information. There has been lots of activity on our application none of which shows on MYCIC. There are of course exceptions but in most cases you will go from in progress to decision made instantaneously. Very few of the other categories will show any changes. Order your gcms notes every 30 days. In our case we received an email right after we our notes were captured.

My reason for delaying a bit was that they seem too be delaying notes when you apply immediately after getting one. I got my first after 30 days and my next after 40 days. There are folks waiting for 60 days.

And yes, I too would not wait for anything to change on my CIC or ECAS. Those are changed in a batch so it could be a month or so until you see anything there.

I have ordered three from warsaw and even though they actually come from Ottawa they have all been a day or two early.

Please my friends, I went to foreign affairs to get a police check here,vin ivory coast and the young guy did not ask to do thumb print, I ask him why he said is not necessary ,is it true ? Before I will pay him?

Police check changes with every country. In India, too when you want a police clearance certificate, you don't need to give your thumb print. Best to ask in a thread for Ivory Coast or someone who is from there.

I already got PPR and ECAS shows Decision Made.

However MYCIC still shows -

Review of submitted documents - We need an additional document from the applicant (Passport)

A background check is needed - In Progress
Final decision - Not Started

Im seeing at Kingston, Jamaica VO where all persons are getting interviews and visa issued on the spot..Is this apart of the immigration change announced by the minister? It seems weird as I'm not seeing this for any other VO.

So did you mail your wife's passport ? In one of your posts you were saying mailing it would take 3 months. I am in canada and applied outland like you that's why I am asking.

Actually, I remembered I had a friend in Turkey, so I mailed him the passport and made him my authorized representative!
