So I have a questions which may seem silly or obvious but I want to make sure for this passport request. I pasted part of the email below. Does it mean that I (Canadian citizen) also have to photocopy my passport for them? I will be accompanying him as we're moving together. Thanks!

STEP 2: PASSPORT(S) REQUEST

We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least two blank visa pages in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be a blank visa page for each of them.

No, just like most of the requirements for "you and each accompanying family member" (medicals, PCCs etc) when talking about the principal applicant, the Canadian sponsor does not need to send a copy of their passport.

Since I am aware that you've had reached to land in Canada already, I know that you are the appropriate person who could address my concern. Sorry to bother you on this, but I'm little bit confused on PA side and Sponsor's side. So when the sponsor's side says in process, stating this- "...started processing on.." what does this means? I understand that you will be able to have this message once you've got an SA. Though PA side still says "Application Received". Should I wait until PA side gets updated unto "In process"?- is this merely the reference for you to confirm that you definitely got an SA?

Please shed a light on this. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated. Many thanks! and Congrats, btw!

The sponsor will recieve correspondence confirming SA.

If you do not recieve anything and the PA side says "In process", SA has been granted.

Yep, sorry, I was sleeping .

You also won't get any indication on the sponsor's side of eCAS when you get SA. It will continue saying "In Process" even after you've already landed most likely. However, if you see "in process" on the PA side, it's safe to assume you have SA.

Also, just in case anyone finds this interesting, based on my GCMS notes they have not started processing both the SA and PA sides at the same time. There was nothing to indicate that anything on my PA side had started before we got SA.

Wrote Vienna an email how the status is. (They requested additional pictures) they answered on 7th of July: the copr was send on July the 5th. So I'm through now. I'm just waiting until the letter arrives 8)

I took 2 weeks off down south for vacation.. haven't been here for a while. lol. spent my Canada day and the 4th together.

both of my PA and myself were "in progress".
i ordered my GCMS and arrived. nothing to be seen.

maybe cuz i ordered it before SA. lol. everything was about me. like how they checked if i was on welfare...

it did remark that i sent my 2015 Notice of Assessment. i disagreed with people here that if you send the stuff without their request might delay your process.

now i found out the reason why my SA was delay. cuz i sponsored my parents back in 2009 and they are still my undertake.. lol. so they were checking if they were receiving welfare here too. it took quite a bid time to reconfirm both my parents and myself were not receiving welfare.

3rd GCMS came on June 30, everything not started. Ordered new ones same day LOL.

Planning my next trip across the globe lol.

Makes sense now why you were delayed. But everything's good so that's what counts!
