just logged in ecas before going to bed and saw my wife's part finally became 'in process''; however, there are only two lines inside

1. we received your app...
2. medical results have been received
That's what mine looked like at first too. For me, it took a day to update with a 3rd line saying the date they started processing it. Congratulations!

thanks, yours is to ottawa so it will be lightning fast!

Today they updated ecas. Or let's better say I just saw it today. PR in process, but no 3rd line yet.

Hi Gary_
well we my sponsor got a email that he is approved as a sponsor and than everything went really fast ...they ask for one more Form IMM5409 ... I send it per email and than boooooommmmm :D they send me the letter of confirmation of permanent residence. They also send a paper with my information and my picture and I believe I have to go to the border or office to get my PR card?

I am not sure how it works now ... If I go the border? will they put something in my german passport or will they give me the PR card right away or do I have to wait for it and they mail it to me?
And also I am allowed to work with this Confirmation letter or just when I will have the PR card????

thanks all!
and I was really lucky that they send it to Ottawa! well I read a lot where send to Ottawa!!! good luck to all!

Emma :)

Hi everyone,

I couldn't resist checking eCas on this morning. I never received my SA email/snail mail, but eCas has changed to "in process" with only two lines for the PR Application. I know it would probably take a few days to add any additional lines (what's new). However, I'm at ease now since I was a bit jittery when alot of people reported getting SA confirmations yesterday. I confirmed approval on Monday with an agent but nothing says it's legit like that CIC email in your inbox lol The agent said, his case will be sent to Kingston VO. One small baby step in the right direction.

Happy Weekend everyone!

Also, I updated my information on the spreadsheet. But looks like the formula is missing on cell Q14 to complete the calculation. I tried copying the formula but it's locked.

that's great. you know that's a SA right there.

They (a CBSA officer at the border) will have you sign the COPR and staple it to a page in your passport most likely. They will fill out the forms for your PR card and you should get it in a couple months.

By the way, while we're all madly watching our eCAS, here's a useful thread: "http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/old-in-process-vs-new-in-process-on-ecas-explained-t363793.0.html"

I'm still not sure how accurate the original post is, but it's interesting at least.

I'm thinking about ordering notes. I'm really curious if eligibility has passed.

That's awesome! When did you get SA approved out of interest?

Just scoot down to the border and they grant your visa. apply for pr card there and it'll come in the mail! :)

what are notes and how do you order them?

Notes provide more detailed information on your application. They generally aren't useful until the PA side goes "in process".
