how do you check the Sponsor status?

most people can't sign into ECAS until AFTER sponsor approval. you can try signing in by using the UCI or file number listed on your AOR with the sponsor's personal information. Again, for most this does not work until well after sponsor approval, so please don't assume anything is wrong with your app if you can't sign in. one thing has nothing to do with the other.

you answered my question too thanks lol

no email/letter yet from cic no third line or in process either

do you get aor2 in email or letter like aor1 or does the third line indicate that its aor2?

I am trying to put together my PR application, anyone living in Canada but choose OUTLAND?

Question: my husband had submitted my PR application 4-5 years ago while we were still living abroad, he talked to our MP secretary and she said don't feed CIC all the information that we had previously submitted our PR application in case they wanted to investigate and might slow down my whole PR application. Is that true?

not every visa office sends an AOR2, so you will want to check with the thread specific to your visa office to see if you should expect one. ECAS does not indicate AOR2 at all. In fact, ECAS is really not a good source for information about your application. Not everyone's ECAS is updated, not everyone has the same "lines" and more than likely you will be contacted by CIC before anything changes in ECAS. How many lines are in ECAS is no indication of what is going on with the application or approval.

it depends if there are questions in the app about previous applications. if there are, then you need to be honest and explain. there is no harm in it, and it probably won't affect your current application. if you do no provide this information and lie in the application, that leads to much worse problems. was the application approved or was it withdrawn?

again, only answer the questions that are asked and if any of this is relavant to questions in the app, then you MUST answer truthfully and provide an explanation. If the explanation is as simple as you weren't ready to move to canada during that time, then I doubt it would cause issue. If it was related to your relationship, then it could possibly trigger additional relationship proof requests or an interview - though if your current application is solid and you're still together 4-5 years later, i doubt this would happen either. Bottom line... DON'T LIE IN YOUR APPLICATION!

i really wouldn't rely on an MP's secretary on information about submitting an application, unless they specifically went through spousal sponsorship. Remember, this is your life and future, not theirs, so they won't pay the consequences of a major mistake like that, only you will. Really, the only thing the MP's office should be relied on for is getting information about why your application is stuck and not processing.

Thank you for your quick response. Well, I have not submit my PR application bcos initially I was choosing INLAND but after hearing and weighing the Pros and Cons, I decided to go Outland (immigration lawyer advice me iNLAND), as all along I let my husband handled all my immigration papers however, I realized that Canadian actually ain't familiar with Ca immigration. We recently moved back to Canada about 18 months ago, my husband screwed up my vusa extension as such I m out of status. I am writing Question 9 spousal questionnaire and explain our whole family journal and how I ended up out of status. Hence, I was wondering should I include the part where my husband applied PR while we still overseas 4-5 yrs ago. We had 2 young kids both Canadian citizen (4 & 6).

I believed what the secretary meant was not to overfeed CIC with too much information and confuse them, not about lying. From beginning, we have no intention to lie nor hide anything, we just don't wish our PR application got stucked somewhere in someone's desk because I overfeed them too much and they wanted to look into further as such slow down my whole PR process.

I needed to confirm the VO for our application so I called the call center. My sponsorship was approved May 24 which put it at 35 days so I was very lucky but it is a really straightforward sponsorship. Applicant process started may 30th. So a lag between the two dates, no idea what that means. I do have an observation. I can see why this process is so slow if it all operates the way the phone call did. First the agent was very nice, helpful and professional. Their system for accessing information must be ancient. It felt like she had to leave the room for each answer and I only had two questions. Ask a question, put on hold.... ask another back on hold.. how is it possible they are not looking at a computer screen right in front of them? If they were it must be the slowest computer in the world.
Anyway never a celebration until we are all together including our fellow april applicants..

You must tell them about the previous application. I have read of five year bans that came from not telling. Let cic decide not the secretary. A five year ban is far worse than a month delay if at all.
