Hi Folks !

I am an end of May 2016 applicant and since i believe there are people who are far more experienced/familiar with the process available in this thread.

Could someone please advice on the chances of Visitor visa approval (post application). My spouse is having a full-time job (in India) with a multi-national company and is working with it from last 6 years. She would be able to manage leave on approval letter for 3 weeks and her old salary records (bank a/c, ITR's etc.). for visitor visa filing purposes. Please suggest if there is a scope of visitor visa approval and if so what would be the correct time to apply (post Sponsor application approved, file no. received ...??)

Thanks in advance !!

Received COPR in the mail yesterday! I added it to the spreadsheet. Does anyone know if I would have to officially "land" as a PR the next time I cross the border? I'm asking because I need to go up there before we move all of our belongings. If I do land as a PR can I cross the border with a uhaul a month or so after without having to add taxes, etc?
congrats ;)

You can apply anytime as her being your wife is the biggest challenge. Do a lot of research on the visitor forum as you will have to prove she will go back. Not as easy as it sounds but it can be done.

Can't seem to get through CIC call center. Every time I called the machine says they are experience very high number of calls.

I called early morning, afternoon, and even in evening time.

anyone called today regarding last Friday's SA mail?

Hey, I had called Monday and found out about Friday's SA. The agent said, I will receive confirmation this week but didn't give a specific day. So still waiting, otherwise surprise, surprise no changes on eCas. Any eCas updates for recent SAs anyone?

Did you also call on last Friday for the SA, or you already received it earlier?

Got my COPR in the mail today. Sent from Ottawa, sent to the Seattle area.

Nope. My husband has no plan on calling.

Well, today's the day the call center agent said my husband should get his SA email by. It doesn't surprise me that it's not here yet with how inconsistent Mississauga has been lately. I'll call next week if I still haven't received anything.

I'm a little worried that my PA status hasn't gone "in process" yet. At least according to the spreadsheets the average for Ottawa is only a few days after SA. I'm at 5 days, but it's too soon to complain yet. Hopefully, I'll see my eCAS updated in a few days.

Most seem to be the other way around. Ecas changes to in process first. Only those who have phoned seem to even find out they got sa. What a crazy system

That's what I did. I called them to confirm SA and found out the date it was approved. The call center agent said I should be receiving an email by today and to call back if I haven't.

With my bad luck I'll probably end up being the only slow Ottawa applicant.
