SA time is updated to 40 days. I am in 42 now. There are people with over 50 days.
I am not sure why CIC has put SAs on hold.

MP enquiry is the only possible option as far as I see

I am the March one.. so i am over 50 days no SA yet. indeed, i am asking a MP's help here.

Yes go for that. Atleast you will get proper information which is much better than useless call center employees

It is now friday of a long holiday weekend in Canada. I would be shocked if anymore work gets done before Tuesday. We (myself included) should take a break from this process for a few days. Then we can return on tuesday refreshed and ready for good news. Happy Weekend everyone.

Happy Weekend !

I am still hoping that CIC sends out couple of SAs today !

Has anyone from April got their SA yet?

CIC received my application on April 4th, and I got my AOR1 on April 27th.

Thanks,
Yeah, a few people. I applied on April 6th and still haven't gotten SA, but some people who applied both before and after me got their SA.

At the moment it is clear that cic isnt working on everyones files in order. Remember that the people here are only a fraction of the number of people applying in total. So when you call, they may have a thousand applications sitting in front of them. Try and be patient all and your sa's will come through.

Sometimes I swear they play 52-pickup with applications, spread them out on the floor, and then throw darts to select which applications they'll work on... lol.

These people are human. What do you think might happen to your file after your fourth call. I would not go crazy phoning them all the time. Would I wait 90 days no. But I would be careful. No proof of this only what human nature tells me.
That has nothing to do with it. When I called it was my first time and the guy said not to call back until August 18th.

I called in today and asked if there is any update for my case; the agent put me on hold and told me they received my 2015 Tax assessment fax, which i didnt even mention. other than that, no update. i hope i didnt delay my process. cuz i remember the last time the agent said not to send the tax assessment, as this was not the income based. however, i read on here that the higher income; the better. . since my 2015 has 20k more income than 2014; i thought it would be a good idea to send them the new one anyway.

hopefully i didnt make any mistake here.

Just be patient, you can do nothing with CIC to speed up the whole process, even if you know they're processing the cases out of orders.

I think many of you are the first-timers dealing with CIC. I applied for my own skilled immigrant visa two years ago, and I am the lucky one to get approved within 9 months. Many people applied for 2014 FSW one month, even two months, ahead of me, but got their visas much later than I did. It's all up to the visa officer in charge. You get nowhere to complain, and the call centre agent will sometimes give you little help, if you're lucky enough.

If you wanna know what happened to your case, apply for an ATIP report. It's free if you're in Canada. I applied for the reports once in a while to keep track of my case. The only drawback is that you'll have to wait 30 days for each report.

Oh yes, I'm not always the lucky one. It took 188 days for me to receive my PR card since my first landing, and it's way beyond normal processing time. I also complained with the forumites but there's no use at all. The most helpful things is that I called CIC help centre every 3 days and finally met a nice lady who was willing to send a message to the PR card production team to report the abnormality, and thus I knew I need to retake my photos. On the ATIP report it showed at the beginning of Jan they already found flaws on my submitted photos, but they did not ask for a new one until the nice agent sent out the message to uncover this photo thing in late February. I tried to make complaints on their website but I just got canned response like "Thank you for your suggestion, however we cannot reply each mail....blah blah blah".

Calling to inquire about your application won't slow it down and submitting documents won't slow it down. What can slow it down is if they have to request documents.
