nice. keen to see what that looks like. still cant get into my ecas so maybe ill just get into that next week! :)
Yeah, you'll barely even need to check your eCAS at all :P.

We're also supposed to see our application/updates in real-time, so it should be an accurate reflection of what's going on with the application at the time we check it.

I think a reality show about family class PR immigration case processors would be fascinating to be honest. There are plenty of reality TV shows/documentaries about different countries' customs and border control officers (like "Canada's Front Line"). :P

I do like the idea behind the new system for checking our application status: transparency. Who knows, it may not be completely accurate all of the time, but at least it's supposed to be a fair amount more transparent. eCAS has such vague updates, especially the fact that for many "in process" could still take multiple months.

It can take a while to be able to access eCAS. It took me about a week. Don't worry about that.

Send a case specific enquiry saying that your name is spelled wrong if you're worried about it: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

daft question, i wanna send my updates passport, is applicant name there meaning me or my sponsor?

Applicant (aka Principal Applicant) is you, not the sponsor.

The terminology is a bit confusing at first.

Is it okay to check ECA now eventhough no SA yet?or will I have to wait for the SA?

You can still check eCAS before SA. What I was referring to the new way to check applications that is coming out on May 26th. Starting then, we will be able to check the applicant's portion by linking the PR application to a MyCIC account. This is what won't have any information about the sponsor's side, according to the website.

For many people eCAS hasn't been updating to reflect SA lately, but you can still try. Just remember if something isn't showing up that's normal. eCAS tends to be inaccurate and updated infrequently.

Good morning everyone!

I received my AOR yesterday! Here is my time line so far:

1. I sent my application via CanadaPost on April 26
2. The application was received by CIC on April 27
3. I received the AOR email from CIC on May 17

It took me exact 20 days for AOR 1. I hope other late April applicants also get AOR soon :)

Congrats and welcome to the april group. Hope for more good news when i get up tomorrow!

I tried calling CIC this morning, but due to a high volume I got disconnected. We leave tomorrow for vacation, so I was really hoping for SA before departing. Since receiving AOR we didn't receive any document request etc, our case includes a dependent child so I totally get it might take a bit longer but an update/confirmation would be nice. :'(

It seems after a wave of SAs there are all silent.
I did an MP enquiry yesterday, and they will get back to me within 10 business days.

Not sure what is going on. Very frustrating
