Thanks!

May I ask what is the next step?? How long is that?
What date did the CIC receive your application? The next step is Sponsorship Approval, which should take +/- 37 days after they received your application.

Sponsorship Approval means that they will check the sponsor if they are qualified?

I did outland application to HK. AOR1 means they are sending my app to HK right?

Thanks

Yes, Sponsorship Approval is when they check to see if the sponsor is qualified.
No. AOR1 is from Mississauga. You sent the entire application to Mississauga first, right? After Sponsorship Approval, the CIC forwards the application to the other visa-office to process the principal applicant's portion (the person being sponsored). In your case, AOR2 would mean that your application is at the HKVO and would come after Sponsorship Approval.

Ok! Yeah I sent my application to Mississauga.

Will I get notification if my Finance is getting approved? Is that what AOR2 for?

Finance? There isn't a financial requirement to sponsor a spouse. There main reason someone is ever denied as a sponsor is because they are on welfare other than disability. You will get an email (or a letter in the mail) notifying you that the sponsor has been approved. AOR2 comes after SA (sponsorship approval) and indicates that the HKVO has received your application.

AOR1>SA>AOR2>In Process>DM (decision made) >PPR (passport request) assuming you don't get any document requests. You won't get any correspondence when your application goes "in process" for the principal applicant. That will appear on your eCAS.

I'm curious, since you didn't apply as married (obviously, since you said fiance), did you apply as common-law?

It is not as important as aor/sa in my opinion. And i dont think anyone in this forum was going on a world wide tour to find their Canadian one.and it again doesn't matter how long u were dating /in love/?/ before someone got married. Once married you are married and it is gonna be the same with whoever got married .this is only my opinion and i am not judgemental. And i think this forum is more of an informative formal group .but like what i said we need to be stress free and relaxed while our file being processed but not diverting greately from the main thread family sponsorship april 2016
this is a support group as well as a knowledge exchange area johnny for people in similar situations. we've all met someone who we love and want to be with. i think its great to share those stories as they are in fact the ones that matter.

To take away from AOR/SA chatter… I'm curious how you all met your Canadian! For us we met in Uganda while volunteering at an orphanage. Our times happened to overlap by a couple of months. I certainly didn't travel around the world to meet my future Canadian husband but hey. I'm not complaining!
we met while we were both in Australia. my now wife was studying in perth and i was a backpacker. i ended up moving to canada after she left as a backpacker again and just kind of settled in. then we ended up leaving canada and traveling and working overseas and ended up back in australia haha. now we're looking at finally returning :)

Congrats on the coupe of AOR's overnight. Next week definitely takes people over the threshold for wait times so hopefully hear something!

Have a good sunday everyone.

Since I'm at 38 days today I was going to call, but I have a bad cold and really don't feel like dealing with a call center, haha. I have a hunch my SA might already be approved and they haven't updated eCAS or sent correspondence yet (since they seem to be doing that in batches). I'm keeping an eye out for "in process" on the PA side.

Alright. I was just making sure you didn't apply conjugal ;D (that's for fairly unique situations). Good luck with your application!
