Honestly, cic related this is the best news out of Mississauga for today. Yes, nothing coming out of their office had me antsy too. Glad they are looking at files, atleast we know it's happening and in-process. eCas hasn't been the most accurate, so hoping emails would be the best means of communicating.

Glad they reached out to you though, and now you can move along in the process. I am sure they do a background check of the Sponsor before proceeding to the next step. Just due process sometimes.

I was surprised they responded to my email at all actually. I found the email for Mississauga by digging through this forum. It's not like they asked me to email them. I figured I would have to send a case specific enquiry, but then three days ago I got that email. I don't even think I'll have to send a new corrected form in.

I hope whatever is holding up the SAs gets resolved soon. At least 5 March applicants are at 41 days and no SA.

From looking at other forum threads and experiences, mondays are notoriously quiet at CIC. Not much activity comes out of there compared to other days. probably start of the week drag.

Well, CIC case processors are people with jobs too. I bet they dislike Mondays just as much as any other worker . I hope you get your AOR soon.

You might get AOR roughly 20-30 days after the CIC receives your application. It will be through the sponsor's email address.

i have noticed that trend over 2 years now and i believe it is because they are still having the hang over from the weekend........

definitely a monday drag. also i can imagine after leaving the office on the weekend with an application open, when you get back to it on monday theres a feeling of "oh god, this thing again!"

I could definitely imagine the officer pulling out the file they were most recently working on and going, "now what exactly was I doing again?" haha.

Does it say "in process" for the sponsor's side or the principal applicant's?

Quoted from myself a few pages back:
"There are two side. The left says: Sponsorship Application Status. The right says: Permanent Residence Application Status.

The information for the left, the sponsorship side, says "In Process" and when I click on it:

We received your application to sponsor xxxx on April 6, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 28, 2016.
We started processing your application on April 27, 2016.

The information for the left, the Permanent Residence Application Status says "Application Received" and when I click on it I see:
We received xxxx application for permanent residence on April 6, 2016.
Medical results have been received."

There is a spot in the IMM1344 form to list the sponsor's email address.
