Hello!

So as I am sitting here trying to read through all the forms and complete the application. I'm wondering if I made a mistake by completing the wrong form. My husband (sponsor) lives in Canada and I (principal applicant) live in US. He is sponsoring me to Canada. For this would we follow GUIDE 3999 or GUIDE 3900. Both have the same titles of: "Sponsorship of a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, or dependent child living outside Canada"

At this point i'm very confused!!

I assumed 3900. because that one http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp has the updated date in 2016.. 3999, 2015 instead.

1. no, a job is not necessary, you will just need to be able to prove you and your spouse will not go on welfare when approved. many sponsors and applicants do not have jobs and are successfully approved.

2. yes, both the sponsor app and the applicant's app go in the same package and mailed together. if you don't do this, the application will be returned as incomplete. once the sponsor's app is processed, CIC will internally transfer it to the appropriate visa office
3. think quality over quanity. enough to prove the relationship is genuine and other people know about it. it says right on the application CDs and photo albums are not accepted. you can either print them out individually or print a number of them together on regular printer paper. as long as they are clear and represent a legit relationships, it doesn't matter.

This information was really helpful, thank you. I have downloaded all the forms required to sponsor my wife(out land). I have made all the supporting documents ready. Also filled both the questionnaires. But couple of forms are confusing.
Hi, Can anyone please post with IMM numbers, who should fill which form. I am little confused, between sponsor and sponsored person's forms. All the forms doesn't say sponsor and sponsored person title on them So please help posting with IMM numbers, who should fill which form.
