Dude it means, considering the cut off date June 11th, all the applicants who applied before April 1, 2015 will get their citizenship by March 31, 2016.

DUDE i understand and have already read that.
i specifically asked what happens
to applicants between April 1st and June 10th.
Looks to me poor and confusing communication by CIC.
Someone throw LIGHT

It means that CIC try to eliminate the backlog by end of March 2016. So, the file of applicants who applied before April 1st will be finalized by end of March 2016 (Maximum one year processing time). Therefore, files that receive CIC after April 1st (old or new regulation), will be processed in less than one year.

OK in the following link

we have: " ... it is expected that the backlog of older files will have been eliminated by the end of this fiscal year." Also in

http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do?nid=985239,

they say that " In 2015/16, processing times as expected to be less than one year and the inventory will be reduced to allow for real-time processing."

Therefore, I think we all should expect to receive a decision within a year!

This also possibly explains the reason for little bit of delay in AORs recently. This is the same staff that need to screen the new applns from jul11 onwards which probably were spending time getting trained on new formats and guidelines.

Important Info on the citizenship application forms page of CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/adults.asp

New requirements for Canadian citizenship are coming soon
This could affect your application if CIC receives it on or after June 11, 2015.
Applications made using current application forms must be received by CIC on or before June 10, 2015, and be complete. CIC will not consider the date of mailing (postmark). If you cannot submit a complete application before June 10, wait to submit an application until on or after June 11, 2015. New application forms must be used if submitting an application that will be received on or after June 11, 2015.

april2015: did ur application
turn into 'In-Process'????? I am asking
this because we have similar timeline,
i.e application reaching starting of April.

I'm guessing I got AOR, but the e-mail is just delayed, because my Citizenship packet was still never mailed back to me. Here's hoping for an AOR response before the June 10th 4/6 residency changes.

What is the average timeline for returning unqualified applications from the date received by CIC?
I mailed my application on April 30, received by the CIC on May 4. Should expect AOR sometime next week as per timelines on the spreadsheet.
Thanks.

I would like to know that too, anyone in May received applications back already that were incomplete?

if your application is not returned in 2 weeks then u will receive AOR. have patience.

not yet bro....the waiting game is still on! I hope the wait time doesn't get even longer due to CIC starting to receive applications in bulk next week from applicants rushing to apply before the new 4/6 rules kicks in on June 11th. After looking at various people's timelines here, I believe that turning the status into "In Process" would approximately take at least 2 to 3 months from the date AOR was received. And again it's just my own personal guess only. Let's hope for the best.

Some April 27 & 29 applicant got their AoR.

Interesting Oren, last time you were mentioning of one applicant from may who got it, but the forum member came back said it was his/her mistake (his friends apps was received end apr, apr 27, I suppose), but I donot want to consider that specific case - it's all mixed up - firstly, a known friend, then it was told by that friend, then it was may 1st, then to end apr, then probably apr 27. I hope u see what I mean.

Is there ne one else who got aor for app received after apr 26? Would be interesting to know this.

Hello friends.

Back on this website again. First I used it for my immigration, then for my family sponsorship and now for citizenship. Glad its all steps moving forward.

Citizenship Application:
I applied for myself and my dependent child together. My application details:

Application sent by : FEDEX (Picked up on 14 March 2015)
As per Fedex tracking, it got delivered on 19 March 2015.

As per eCas online:
1) Received application on March 17, 2015.
2) Letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) sent on April 2, 2015.

In my email:
1) Acknowledgement confirmation email received on 02 April 2015.
2) But the date on actual letter of acknowledgement is 01 April 2015.

So not sure why this confusion on dates.

But I am hoping its no big deal as I have the acknowledgement from them via email for both myself and my child (Individual acknowledgement letter for each of us). And secondly my eCas is active now with "received" status.

Patiently waiting for it to turn to "In Process".

Any other Alberta applicants with similar timeline.

Please add me to the excel spread sheet.

Thanks.
