Hey April Batch,

Almost your time for all to apply Best of luck all. Remember to triple check all your documents and sign the necessary papers before sending out.

Hi All,

I'm preparing my application and planning to send it by weekend.

I have couple of questions:

1. In Application form for Adults(CIT0002E), point no. 6->E. Provide addresses for last 4 years : Do we need to provide ALL addresses including vacations in US/home country(5-10 days) OR only Canadian home addresses where we lived in last 4 years?

2. For my kid (Minor) application supporting documents I got letter from school(on school letterhead) stating that kid is in S.Kindergarten from so and so date. As per Instruction guide, we need to provide document(s) with Photo and Date of Birth.
My question is can we provide this document. If not, then will Passport and PR copies will work as supporting documents?

Please suggest.

Thanks.

For point 1. you need to list only the Canadian addresses you have stayed at not vacation or outside travel addresses.

we did our family application about a month ago, and has been accepted by cic. (have an AOR and in recieved) here is our experience - hope this helps.
6.E
Write all your Canadian addresses for the last four (4) years, including the postal codes.

If you were residing, employed or attending school outside Canada, you must also list all your foreign addresses, including the postal codes.

Implying, if you were on vacation, your "residence" address was still in canada.

To answer your question, state just your canadian residence address, not the ones you were visiting on vacation.

supporting documents for kids :

docs with photo id : PR card, passport and visas on passport.

docs without photo id : health card.

other docs : school report cards. if you do not have a report card because one has not been given yet, a written letter from school. based on the school year, i believe you might have at least one report card - provide that.

hope this helps

Its 8 digits in front of the card (Not at the back)

Hi,

I am preparing case for my wife and deposited fee online. Now, I have my name on the payment receipt whereas the fee is for my wife's case. Is it okay? Obviously, I will write her PR card number as Client ID though. Its the Name I am concern about.

Thanks in advance...
Asif

Thanks samreentariq and cecapplied.

more questions again :)

1. Do we need to provide all marksheets/transcripts of Degree certificates (We have not done education from Canada but from home country)

2. Do we need to provide all pages of Passport(current & expired)? Current one is from March 2011(some days beyond last 4 years timeframe)

3. We will be applying with 1099 days as physical presence (cross-checked all stamps in passports with CBSA records which I got it earlier, only 1 return date entry is missing in CBSA records and passport when we came back from US after 10 days of vacation in 2011. I have declared this missing date range of 10 days). Suggest if we are taking any risk OR we should be fine.

Thanks in advance!

Not a problem we are here to help

1. Do we need to provide all marksheets/transcripts of Degree certificates (We have not done education from Canada but from home country)

- If you have completed your education from abroad you will need to provide a copy of your degree, adding the transcripts in is usually a good idea just my opinion. You should also get a letter from your educational institution with their letterhead clearly explaining the language of instruction was in English.

2. Do we need to provide all pages of Passport(current & expired)? Current one is from March 2011(some days beyond last 4 years timeframe)

- You need to provide only the biographical pages (the pages that have your details, picture etc.) You should provide expired passport as well if it falls in the 4 year period if not it should not be an issue, if you feel comfortable you take take biographical pages for both current and expired and send it in, it will not harm you in any way.

3. We will be applying with 1099 days as physical presence (cross-checked all stamps in passports with CBSA records which I got it earlier, only 1 return date entry is missing in CBSA records and passport when we came back from US after 10 days of vacation in 2011. - This is just my opinion but it is better to apply with at least a week of buffer time however I do understand their is unease of when the new rule might come into effect so this is completely up to you as long as you meet all requirements and you have 4 extra days in you are good to go.

hi again samreentariq,

> Do we need to provide all marksheets/transcripts of Degree certificates (We have not done education from Canada but from home country)

>> If you have completed your education from abroad you will need to provide a copy of your degree, adding the transcripts in is usually a good idea just my opinion. You should also get a letter from your educational institution with their letterhead clearly explaining the language of instruction was in English.

>>> I'm including IELTS test results for English as language proof. Hopefully this should be fine and no letter from Educational intitute on their letterhead is required anymore.

April applicants are filling in the Application Type column incorrectly.

Obviously, its a citizenship thread and you don't put 'Citizenship' under Application Type, its Single or Family
