I as well -- it seems hard to process that this time is finally here, this is a big step for my family. We have everything together, and just have to wait for the results of my wife's CELPIP test.

I would suggest to just apply for citizenship now; you dont have to submit ALL pages of passport with your application.

During interview if officer ask then you can explain to him/her

I only printed the part where it has the name, number, expiration etc. Do I have to provide the copies with travel stamps?

I cheched online processing period and its mentioned as 24 months. So if I apply in April 2015 , I should expect to complete the process in April 2017 ?

Does anyone have any other info on processing time?

If I remember correctly, if you need a copy of your landing document, it is processed in about 6 months. Better research further and check with CIC.

Thanks.

Hi apatel2489,

You can apply without the landing document but you will need to include a letter stating why it is not included. I am a February 2015 applicant and I sent my application without the Landing Confirmation paper and it was accepted. You will need to still apply for a copy as it is an extremely important paper, it will be delivered in about 6 months, in the meantime you can type a letter and send it along with your app.

It was posted by Jacaranda in the above link. But his case is different. His passport renewal stamp was in page 5 so he need to include those pages.

Otherwise, you don't have to include all pages of your passport, just the biographics pages should be enough.

@sunafi: Please find link n post

Sadly our application was returned today for something so stupid.... of no fault of mine ...but I cant blame CIC too, they were following procedure...

my passport's expiry date on the biographical page says 2009, but on page 5 of the passport there is a stamp of passport extension.... this is how the indian consulate in NY stamped..... obviously the CIC officer didnt turn pages to find an expiry and returned the whole family's application :-[ :(

So Im planning to write a letter explaining this whole thing and a color copy of that page 5 and sending the package back tomorrow, one question I have for you guys:

do I need to refill the application form and pay fees....there was a user on the forum who's application was returned due to a silly error, what did you do, please advise.....

regards
Jacaranda

yes I submitted all pages of my passport, the CIC officer could have spent an extra minute to turn pages, he/she would hav seen the passport extension.

thank you guys +1 to both of you... but as I have understood, it's not because of bio or all pages of pp, it's unique case in which bio page suggest pp is expired and extension of pp is confirmed on non-bio page, which has created ambiguity in that case.

Another question for you guys :)

Where do I find the client ID for the payment receipt form? The part that we need to fill out with our information.

Is it the same client ID we had when we first processed our immigration paper?

Thank you and I wish you all a great Friday!
