Hey guys...Has anyone applied for the step 1 outland application to Mississauga . My file has been sent my courier and signed for at the office on April 7th 2014. Its already May 10th and I have had no word from them is that normal? Do they not normally send a letter with client id number etc so that we can track it? Im a bit worried and im currently living with my husband in Malaysia so it nearly IMPOSSIBLE to have access to a human being who can help.

Sometimes the AOR comes at the same time that the SA (sponsor approval is sent), it happened in my case. And for stage 1 right now it states on CIC site that they are Working on applications received on March 28, 2014. Hopefully you will get some news within a week or so.

Our timeline is same as well my file was received on 8th April 2014. On cic website today's update states that they are Working on applications received on March 28, 2014. Therefore we need to wait at least 3 weeks more. I hope soon we will have a good NEWS.

you may want to join the april applicant thread, and have them add you to the spreadsheet. it tracks all april applications and the progress. march applicants are still waiting for aor/sa, and hopefully CIC will finish off march early next week. there has been a big push yesterday and today for notifications. processing times has increased to 40 days.

Oh i see perhaps there's a back log from the strike the had a while ago! Ill add myself to the thread and yes lets hope we'l all hear some good news soon. Ill keep everyone posted on updates . I did send Mississauga an email but even the automated response indicated unless its for address change, or application withdrawl etc they wont reply...

I sent mine off a day after yours . I am not expecting anything until after the long weekend. Once you get you client id number then you will be able to go on ecas and see if there is any process. See you on April thread.

alright i just checked the cic website myself and yea its now 40 days . Im hoping for good news for all of us.

as of yesterday, they are working on applications received april 1.

yes absolutely. my thought is even though they say they are working on applications for a specific date, this does not guarantee all the applications received before that date are done. remember this is a short week for CIC, and march had a significant backlog, so i'm sure they are still catching up with the files. there are still a few march applicants waiting for AOR and SA like you. I know it's frustrating, it's just how the process is.

also, they go by the day it was delivered, not the date you sent it. i noticed you mentioned you sent it on march 31. or is that the day it was delivered? someone from march 28 just got AOR today, so hopefully you are up soon!
