Actually I sent my file on march 22 and it was received by them on march 24 but i got it back on April 8,2014 stating that my birth certificate is missing.I had to resend it but yes my cc was charged on March 26,2014.When i received my file back, all the documents were stamped by CIC nova Scotia and marked with some pencil.

Wow that's something new. I thought that they wont charge cc unles they have all the paperwork from the list. So charging cc doesnt mean that person wil get aor.

1) They charged you first then after they return back entire file or ask about to submit birth certificate document.

2) Did you submit application second time with payment such as draft/credit card details?

1- YES ,They charged me first then after that they sent my entire file back.

2. It was clearly mentioned to just add my birth certificate document to my file .So i added my missing document i.e the birth certificate and mailed it back to them. I don't think so that it was required to pay again, otherwise they would have mentioned or marked the missing payment option as checked.

I attached a copy of the CIC Receipt to my application (the official receipt for the payment of citizenship and immigration fees) which i received in my email after paying from my CC.

How can they return the file if they charged the CC. They should've asked for BC as an additional document. I'm not sure how would they know that your CC has been charged now since there isnt a file number. A file number has to be generated once the payment has been charged.

My file for FSW was rejected last year..the payment was charged and the file was rejected because of missing noc codes. It should've been returned to me and not rejected. But since they charged the card, they rejected it!

Your experience is scaring the sh*t out of me

Well my boyfriend paid from his cc on March 19,2014 and his cc was charged on Mar ch 21,2014 though he mailed his file on March 22,2014.As per Canada post tracking facility they received it on March 24,2014. We have not heard back from cic regarding his file. If we do the calculation it is already more than two months . I am really confused about how does it work,Whether getting charged for the application means anything. Ecas still shows file not found. I guess all we can do is wait and watch .

As it goes for the payment proof i guess its settled, i have sent them the copy of the cic receipt( mandatory document if you are paying or have paid from cc - needs to be included with your application)
