My medical was done 88 days ago (Feb 18 will be three months). No change or update on Ecas. If that's the case, why my review has taken so long?!
As Maxmoore said order GCMS.. You will see more details in it and find the cause of Medical Results is open by VO for Update or not... I think the way VO send File for Medical to be in progress is based on Eligibility.. I am not offending anyone here... Positive Eligibility(include Recommended Pass and minor review) than VO send for Medical to start.... Questionable Eligibility(unclear about Job Duty or NOA or T4 or other information required) VO hold the file till review complete.

Order GCMS notes, but they won't say much - probably. The only way to understand if your file is under review is to get a copy of your eMedicals and check whether something was marked as abnormal or not, which leads to further review / tests. My test was marked as abnormal, but I submitted complementary documentation for my case and finally was approved by the Health branch.
I called the doctor's office a week after the medical was done. She told me that my results were fine and had been sent to Ottawa (she said we would have contacted you if there was something wrong). I am reluctant to order GCMS as it gives me so much stress - waiting and then reading the notes.

Do you guys think that there is something wrong in my application and/or medicals? If my medical is questionable, then why don't they ask for further tests?

I have the same observation. If you're recommended for a second review, it will take months before CIC gets back to your application.

Probably CIC is still evaluating your medical and/or just not updated your status in eCAS. Again, that's all in GCMS notes. Until you order that, everybody will only make a guess on your status and reading our guesses may let you feel more stressed than reading the notes in GCMS.

My doctor said my results were OK, but my X-RAY was marked as abnormal due to a white spot in my right lung.

Also, if they find something wrong in your X-RAY they will likely order more tests after 3 months of the first X-RAY (to see if the problem is stable) and / or sputum tests. I'm just giving you an example. GCMS notes will clarify your status.

Thanks. Now I understand. So there is a possibility that there is a problem with my tests.

The doctor explained to me that sometimes the results may seem fine by a physician but might not pass under CIC pannel's review and if for example the problem is with X-ray it may take a year until you can repeat the test. I hope this is not the case. I am so exhausted. Just ordered GCMS notes. Thanks guys for your time.

In order to clear off a potential Tuberculosis case, the MRO usually takes 3 to 7 months (including further tests asked by them via mail). I was following closely Vishal007 case, that's why I'm commenting this out here. Try asking for your eMedicals as well as requesting GCMS notes.

How should I obtain my e-medical? What happened in your case, did you have your status updated or it took some time?

Just contact your doctor. In my case I had to pay $20 for a printed copy of my eMedicals. That's when I realized my x-ray was marked as abnormal (even though the doctor said it was ok). I knew that I have an issue that was previously discovered by another doctor during my work permit examination, thus I submitted a few files explaining my situation given by another physician. Those complementary files helped me to resolve my case plus they had my previous medical examination with the same issue marked as passed (with more supporting files) -> I realized about that reading GCMS notes. My status took around a month plus a few days to show up, but I was also affected by a technical issue. Nonetheless, just contact your doctor, ask for eMedicals and check your results. Also, besides GCMS notes you are allowed to contact CIC by email inquiring about your medicals. I did, and they replied back to me. Hope it helps! Best of luck.

Thanks for your reply. Should I go to the doctor's office in person or I can call their office for a copy? Do they email eMedical?

By the way, I just noticed that your medical timeline is as mine. I, too, got the request on Nov 14 and did the medical on the 18th. I might email CIC tomorrow then.

You'll probably have to go in person, but depends on the place where you did your medicals. And yes, contact CIC. That will shed some light on the problem.
