I received an email stating that my family's medical examination results were normal, and they are now sent electronically using the Canadian Immigration eMedical system.

Should I now wait ecas status change from "application received" to "medicals received" at some point?

No. You will still have "Application Received". But if you clicked that, you will see in the notes:

2. Medical received.

I got that update after 4 days from the email from the doctor.

I got my BOWP even before doing my medicals (I did up front medicals). No communication after AOR.

When you fill the online questionnaire, you will get to know if medical is required or not. It is dependent on whether you stayed in designated countries for more than 6 months prior to BOWP application. If right now, you are in Canada for more than 6 months then medical is not required.

Not Needed for BOWP .
BUT it mention while you fill questionnaire for some profession if you want to work (i.e. Health profession etc) then Medical is mandatory

I need your help yet again...When I applied for PR, my family was with me in Canada. Now my family is back in India and we have a new baby born in India. We received our medical request and I did my medicals in Canada. My family will do their medicals in India next week.

Meanwhile, we just received the birth certificate of our new baby and will apply for passport immediately. The question that I have is can I do an upfront medical for my new born when my family is going to do their medicals? Also, I have informed CIC about the new baby but I haven't heard anything from them yet. I know I need to add the new baby as a dependent in one of the application forms. Does this form need to be a new form with just me as principal applicant and the new baby as dependent or do I need to append the new baby details to the already filled and submitted form? I have a problem here because my dependents' visitor visa is already expired and the form won't let me validate with a date in the past? Should I go ahead and change the details of my family members with their current country of residence as India? I am confused and I thought there will be others who went through the similar situation who can help me here.

I already paid the fee online for CAD150 and got the fee receipt. Sorry for the long post and hoping for a reply!!!
