Called CIC yesterday, our file is still in Scarborough and it is almost 10 days from the day we took a test... :(
They are taking their time to send file to St Clair, as they promised, don't know what to think about it - is it good sign or bad...

Hi,

My local office is Mississauga and processing started 18th June, but still no test date. I called the CIC call centre and they mentioned that it was transferred to the local office around mid October. I was wondering if anyone from the mississauga office who applied in April 2014 is still awaiting a test date? Also does anyone have a contact number for the mississauga office that we could call and inquire the status

Thanks

I have applied in April 2014 and still waiting. My timeline is very similar like yours. Processing started June 20th.

We just had a test on Jan 15th, our timeline in my signature.

I am still waiting ..Applied in April 2014 and processing started in June 2014..No communication from them except receiving the Discover Canada booklet. Called the customer care and the same answer " The processing time is 24 months...." and that application has been sent to local office (Mississauga office)
It looks like a lot of people have been thru the same scenario.. :|

Does it get updated on the website if the application has been sent to the Local office ? My status shows as "In Process" and nothing more ..

I would suggest to call CIC and ask them what is latest update on your file. We applied in April 2014 but just had a test on Jan 15th.

Hi Guys...

Here is my timeline:

Application received by CIC - March 6, 2014
Started Processing - April 23, 2014
Transferred to Local office (Mississauga) - August 2014
Test date - January 30, 2015 (letter dated January 6, 2015)
Oath date - February 6, 2015

When I wrote my test in Mississauga, there were people who had applied in August 2014 who wrote the test with me. After the test, almost all of the people who wrote the test got an oath letter for the same ceremony. It was quite dramatic as to how the CIC staff revealed this news to us. The test was super easy and the CIC staff are quite nice.

For the interview, I was asked about my travel (I have quite a bit of travel due to work and family), about my general background, about my family, about all the places I have lived in my life. Since I have a lot of travel, the interviewer had to spend some time to match all the stamps to all the absences as per my application form. I had sent in some extra paperwork due to the absences and tried to make it as clear as possible in my application.

Good luck people!
