My husband's and my timeline :

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 25, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 25, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on June 27, 2014.

We sent you a notice on November 4, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on November 24, 2014 at XX:XX AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

One query : I received the test letter invitation for me only, not for my wife. Do they send only one test letter for the whole family as we applied together?

No. We got 2 letters and we applied as family.

Hi all, I submitted the below under the "March 2014" thread this I sent the application in March. But since the application stArted processing in April, thought I'd post it here as well. Good luck to all!


Timelines

Submit application March 2014
Application received April 2014
Processing start June 2014
Finger prints request: September 2014
Finger prints received by CIC October 2014 (called and confirmed they got it)
Notice for test received October 2014
Test date October 2014
Passed test and interview and received oath on same day
Oath: Nov 4th


Below are some observations and comments:

Received line never disappeared --> what's the significance anyways? My opinion/observation is that every case is different and just because a line appears or disappears doesn't necessarily mean good or bad news. Advise is to just stay calm and be patient. Good news will come eventually Smiley
Ecas didn't get updated with oath information after the line (number 4) indicating test instructions, line 5 says you became a canadian citizen on xx xx xxxx
The overall status got updated 3-4 days after oath. Overall status doesn't say "decision made" it now says "complete"
For those who have stamps in their passports with language other than English make sure you do translation
If you have any E-visas (I.e. Not attached in your passport), make sure you carry a photo copy.
-during test/interview, people that finish test first get intervewed first (not 100% sure but it looked like it)

So far only received the test preparation book.

No other letter received.

If anyone applied in the same dates from Mississauga and received something, please update.

I'm posting my application info here (seems like the right thread):

Processing started: June 24, 2014
Received line disappeared: I believe some time in September

I only received the Discover Canada book, nothing else.

I also had an issue with the Citizenship Office when I submitted my application. They sent my application back initially because (they said) my application fee wasn't paid correctly. However, in reality, it was paid perfectly fine. After sending it in for the second time, I received the acknowledgement and Discover Canada book.

I live in Toronto.

My time line is as under. They changed my name on their system (I did legal process for name change) now I am waiting for there invitation for a test. I am in Vancouver, anyone has idea how long still it will take? So irritating to keep waiting.

I think st clair office processes all rq and fingerprint requests, no matter from where u apply.
Is your received line still there?
