Hi Guys, Any PPR for anybody whose case started "In process" from Oct'13 and Nov'13. Please share your updates if you have received anything.

Hi Friends, I did my landing yesterday and I would like to share my experience.

We drove to the Douglas (Peace Arch) border crossing and since we had a valid US Visa, we decided to enter US (we went to a shopping mall) and return later in the day.

We returned back to the canadian border at about 7 pm, and I told the Canadian border officer that we were there to Land for our PRs and gave him our passports. He checked those and asked the usual qns about the amount of goods we were carrying, if we had more than 10k money, if we carried firearms etc and of course we said NO. He gave a paper slip, asked us to park the car (where another officer helped us) and go inside the building.

Once inside, a lady officer called us, asked us the questions printed on the CPR (that we got from CIC along with the stamped VISAs), asked us to sign it, went inside to do some stuff on her computer and came back and handed us back our passports along with a Canadian flag! Thats it! Literally took us between 15 to 20 minutes! Very friendly staff over there who did wish us Good luck more than once!! :)

Again thanks for your support folks! And hope your deams in Canada come true very soon! :):D

Congrats. I didn't get a flag :(

I know that feeling very well - BTW i dont think its holiday for FEDERAL govt on Monday - its only for few provinces (including Ontario ;)) - so if not today you should hear from them on Monday. but as per my understanding (by looking at the current occurrences) you may get the message around midnight.
