hi everone, does anyone know anything about the IELTS requirement for citizenship application? what exactly it is, or how exactly to go about it?

I've noticed that it took about 8 month for one Vancouver applicant from May thread to have his file transferred to local office.

I live in Calgary. No letter or correspondence received after this.

Can anyone tell me, at what stage they ask applicant to go for English Language test?
Secondly, am i likely to get an RQ at this stage of my application?

1-We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 11, 2013.

2-We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 11, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3-We started processing your application on June 21, 2013.

I moved from Montreal to regina in August and changed my Address in the system

That is taking quite long. Have you tried to contact the CIC over the phone for updates?

English test is usually done prior to filing the application as you need to submit the test results with the all required documentation.

Spoke with agent today. My application got there on March 31 and they opened it yesterday and sent me the acknowledgement letter.
Her first line was that they are opening the applications dated before March 21, but then when I said that I do not recall when in March I sent it she checked and they did already looked at it yesterday.

I tried. But, the waiting time was long.. therefore, I haven't talked CIC agents.

May I ask that if my file were transferred to the local office, then how long from there I will get the test notifications?

We sent you a notice on February 27, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 18, 2014

We sent you a notice on June 23, 2014 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on July 10, 2014 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
