Hi Suin,

April 11th was the day they have received my application, April 7th the application was signed. :)

Thank you very much for your reply. I guess ours will be dated on the 18, as they received it on the 18th of April.

Your client ID# is on the front of your PR card. You can also use your pr card # at the back of you PR card to log in at ecas.

Hey I'm new to the forum! Such a great source to have an idea what others are doing! Thank you all for sharing your experiences. My application was received on April 22nd, so with little math after your comments, I should expect the online status update on July 1-2...I hope so!!! Good luck to me and to everyone here. By the way do you know why is this strike at cic?

Welcome to this forum and thread. :) I have not heard about the strike yet. Where did you get the news?

On CIC website:

Notice – Strike Action

June 11, 2013 — The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.

This is about visa and not about citizenship.

I didn't say is about the Citizenship.........................somebody mentioned the strike and for that's while posted here ;D.

It's been exactly 2 months since I mailed my application. Nothing on eCAS yet. But sounds like this is normal judging from the comments here and with the all the labour strife, may take even longer than usual...

We applied on April 15, no updates either.

Forgot to mention that the exas update in pushed every Tuesday!!!

Hope we gonna get our ECAS live next tuesday

Have you tried contacting CIC by calling their call centre or through your MP ?
