hi guys! just got my passport back with visa and copr after a week of sending it to cpp-ottawa, im planning to land asap at coutts border, is it possible to cross the u.s border w/o a u.s visa? or walking is the only option I got when crossing the u.s border? any personal experiences and tips that you could share will be highly appreciated! to those who are still waiting just hang in there. cheers!

I sent in my passport mar 11 tue received at cpp Ottawa mar 14 fri, mar 18 tue the tracker said my return mail was at Ottawa postal office, afterwards change to in transit the next day and got delievered to me mar 21 fri. I stand corrected it took more or less 8 to 9 days wait excluding weekends. that's my timeline.

hi miranja! I remember we almost have the same timeline and I did my medicals 2nd week of feb and surprisingly after 5 weeks since then all I need to do is land. its hard to guess what it is holding up on your application, all i can say is stay positive and you know what we all waited too long and you're like pretty much close to the finish line so just hang in there my friend.

It's going to be two months end of this week since I had paid my RPRF no PPR yet....Is there anybody in the same boat?

I had received my passport request 2 months after I paid my RPRF and submitted Biodata form

When you had filed your application? I did on April 14th.

Hi there,

I began my PR process when i was working in Canada.Sent the application in Feb and CiC confirmed receiving my application on april 9th 2013. I moved from Canada to Pakistan in September 2013.
I paid my RPRF + biodata on Dec 27 2013. My medical was completed by the 6th of Jan and my CIC application confirms that they have received it.

It has now been nearly 3 months since I paid my RPRF and about 2 months 3 weeks since my medical.

Question 1. : How much longer can this take?
Question 2 : What is the next step?
Question 3: I hear they request your passport. Would i have to send this to the canadian embassy in Pakistan or will i courier it to Canada?
Question 3: How much time does the above process (question 2/3) take?

I was planning on going on a vacation in May to Thailand but ill have to cancel if my PR doesn't come in time. Ill have to apply for a study permit for graduate studies and the processing time for that is 11 weeks in Pakistan - Immigration doesn't give your passport back if you need to travel
