Hi guys..
Can I ask you a question? What are the kind of jobs or NOC that are eligible to apply for PR? And is it really hard to pass the IELTS exam? any tips?

Hi,
The best to check it on CIC webpage as they should be up-to-date:
CEC: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp
Skilled worker: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp

The IELTS is not too hard but it is always up to you, how is your english. ;-)
There are plenty of webpages where you can find help and online tests, so you can check a little bit, where you are. Google it. ;)

Hello my dear fellow april applicants,

I just landed today at Rainbow bridge with my wife. I had few hiccups landing yesterday. Please refer to this link to get some insight: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/unable-to-land-at-rainbow-bridge-please-help-t188047.15.html

Please stay in touch and feel free to ask me any questions about landing at rainbow bridge. I took some pics for you guys so that it might be easier for you to know where to go exactly. I will try to post it sometime this week. In the meanwhile please do not hesitate to PM me :). I cannot thank you guys enough for all the help you've offered me. Good luck to you all!

I read ur all explanation on that thread and feeling sorry and shocked about what happen. But I don't agree that one should go there in the morning hours only... Because see in my case I went there on valentines day for my landing. I crossed border from Peace bridge in morning and spent whole day in USA. At night about 8 pm I landed at rainbow bridge. For me everything went so smoothly. No interruption at all. I think it was on your bad-site.

Another thing by going to any ground border we are not doing any illegal procedure. It says in our landing options that either this or get an appointment with city hall or some municipal office. so, Why to worry about it. Either the officer must be frustrated from the whole day's work or the people before you must have screw her up... :D

Any ways you landed that's all matters. Congratulations for becoming PR.

Congratulations to all who received their PR and landed already. And Good luck to those people who are waiting for their PPR or Medicals yet.
My Ecas was changed to completed right on 19th Feb. Sorry I was not able to update here. Now next goal is to get citizenship.

Looks like my application was received by Sydney, NS today. Guess I am in the April group. Didn't find any so I started one. Any one else applying in April?

Please Help,

I am still waiting for my PPR. I don't but I had filed under PNP as well and send the same medical results to CEC when they requested for medical after that they requested RPRF and Biodata but since then no reply. Do you think they are confused because of PNP medical? Following is my time line:

Applied under CEC: April 15th 2013
AOR received: May 30th 2013
Medical Requested under CEC: Jan 15th 2014
Medical receipts sent on the same day itself as had my medical receipts from PNP done in Sept 2013
RPRF and biodata requested: Jan 27 2013
RPRF and biodata sent: Jan 28th 2013
ECAS does not say about medical received or not
getting worried as no PPR yet

Any body who has been through same situation?

Congrats to those who has landed!!!!

When Ecas shows medicals has been received, do they usually write the date when?

Can some one please help answer the below question:

I'm currently in Toronto and I have a open work permit. My medical is completed and I'm awaiting for my passport request. In the meantime I have this question: I have a valid work permit (expires on Nov 2014) but my Visa was already expired (expired on Nov 2013), if I go for landing in US boarder, after I get the administrative refusal from US authorities, when I come to canadian side immigration, do I require a valid canadian Visa? or the work permit itself is sufficient?

PPR means they will stamp single entry visa and will return it back to you with COPR. So single entry visa is for landing purpose only.

I did my medicals on the 5th of March. Do I have to send the e-Medical information (Proof with IME# given by the hospital) sheet to CPC-O ?
