I received my Medical and and Bio-Data form today. it is saturday and I got the email around @ 8.00pm MST. But I have a question. I already done my upfront medical on last june (8 months ago), for me and my family and sent the UMI to CIC. I am curious about why they ask medical again. Should I call CIC or directly do the medical. plz help me guys. why they ask medical again after done the upfront medical.

Finally, I would suggest to resend UMI again to CIC.

Any other suggestion guys. ?

LCM21, how was your landing??

It was fast and not very exciting haha! We decided to cross the border as well and go for lunch (after waiting over 2 hours in line at the border...). When we came back the wait was much better. I was asked to go inside and I walked right up to the counter. Told the lady that I am there to land as a Permanent Resident and handed over my passport (with BOWP attached) and both copies of the COPR. She asked me a few questions (single vs married, dependents etc) and I signed both copies. Then I had to wait for about 5 minutes and when she called my name she handed me a small Canadian flag and gave me the run down on what follows next (SIN renewal, update MSP) and my rights as a PR.

One thing she told me I was not aware of - she said that, until I receive my PR card in the mail, I can't travel outside of the country by air because the officers at the airport won't accept the COPR as proof. Apparently crossing the border by car is ok.

Can't believe it's all finished now!

Depends on the speed of the doctor

4 to 7 days for result
7 to 14 days for ECAS to update,

so a few different variables there
Thanks Suvan, i did the medical on 30th Jan, waiting for the ECAS status to change. :)
