It's good news about the passport validity!!!

I have an OFF Topic question please can you guide me.

Does anyone knows or have an exp obtaining Alberta's trade certificate for cook. Can't find anywhere an information about an experience.

Normally cook trade certificate means red seal certificate. So you have to go to apprenticeship board in your city get the application. I think you have to meet some critiria to sit for the exam. Like experience or and field education. Them they will arrange the date. I heard these information from my friends. I don't know weather they are correct or not. Here is the link.

Thank you Miranja ;) I've already found an information about the application. Just fought maybe someone saw a topic somewhere where people share the exp. It's for my friend.

Have you received something? What's your online status shows?

Congrats, your only just behind me.

From the trend I think we can expect the COPR in the mail in up to 2 weeks worst case :)

According to PPR examples that i found, there is no criteria for passport expiration.
only thing you must do is to land before you visa is expired, which is set to your passport expiration.

Good luck to all of you!

Thanks Mike for your reply. I hope everything goes smoothly for all of us :)

Hey Guys,

I actually ended up asking OttPilot-Immigration about the passport validity. Here is what they replied:

Good day,

Your passport should indeed be valid for at least 6 months from the date of landing. Should you renew your passport, please advise us at your earliest convenience.

My daughter was 1.3 years old when her passport was issued . Today she is 5 years old and does not resemble the passport picture. Do your think this might be a problem at the time of visa issuance

That should not be a problem as long as the passport is valid for more than 6 months.

Congrats chia_88 and gfromearth! Welcome to the last bit of the waiting game.

My status changed to DM on the 24th, but haven't received anything yet. I am from a visa-exempt country so no PPR needed. Checking the mail every day ???
