I knew that you could chose a Visa Office in your home country or Ottawa, but I have heard that no matter what you chose all the applications are Now directed to Ottawa after initial screening in Sydney.

Senior members can give a better opinion on this

Can someone comment and clarify on this point please. If this is true then we need to send all the additional documents to be added to the file to Ottawa right ? But my aor email says any future communication shall be sent to the visa office as selected in the application. So I sent the T4 and NOA for the year 2012 to New Delhi VO (As VO is ND as per my application. I applied from India).

Received my AOR today, applied April 25, they received application on April 29.
Good luck for everyone guys.

Congrats! They received mine on the 29th as well, hope this means I'll get my AOR tomorrow. What time did you receive it?

Yes, I received a request for medical exam on June 12 (today) at 8:15 EST, an hour earlier than request for biodata... I guess offices open at different times. And thanks. I suppose my case is very simple.
Congratulation!!!

Congrats dear...its a great news...and amazingly fast :) One question, did your Ecas updated to in process before MR?

Lucky for Konstantin! Congrats! Can't believe how fast that was.

Heard from other forum that they are just doing med requests from people who applied in October last year, but a January applicant got med request too. Someone said maybe immigration are testing on some new processes and picked a few selected people for that.

That or his application was very simple. But then again mine is simple too and my status is not even "in process" yet =/

It seems Ottawa is working quietly on all the files coz this person got refusal yesterday and his status was Application Received only. Also, he got AOR on 31st May. It is also a good sign as they are rejecting after 1 month or so instead of taking 8-9 months just to declare refusal. So, guys stay alert and hope for the best. I am desperately waiting for some good news, its been 21 months for my FSW2 application and 2 months for CEC :(

Hi Guys,
Bad news for me.. My Application is rejected today as my English Test Score is not as per required. It says...

Your CELPIP test results indicate you scored 3H for Writing. Therefore, your language test results do not meet the required language proficiency for skill level 0.

Can I re-appear and submit the new score for same application or I have to re-apply with new application? Also if it is rejected from VISA office , Do I need to pay the fee again?

please advise guys :(

iN WHICH CASE YOU NEED TO SEND noa AND WHAT ACTUALLY IS NOA

Everyone needs to provide a NOA. NOA = Notice of assessment. It's provided to you by CRA after your tax return has been processed.

From what we have been seeing so far since Jan 2013 chances are CIO completed some base work on the application and they have determined this - that's why the response is so quick. From what we have seen, they are likely doing this so that the bulk of applications who aren't eligible find out quickly instead of having to wait 9+ months.

So where do we have to send NOA???
can we send it through email or we have to mail it?
its need to be original or the photo copy?

The office processing your application - Ottawa I would think. I think it would be okay to e-mail but you could always e-mail and send a hard copy; just to be on the safe side!

Then, it means if they hold file more than 6 months then there are 90% chances of positive news instead of rejection. This is a great initiative taken by CIC as it saves time of the applicant. Also, I think that Sydney review is much more than a casual look towards the completeness of the file which is agan a strong thing.

I think it would be a bit much to assume that CIO is completing the entire eligibility stage at this moment. What I think is happening is that CIO is doing a preliminary checks, meaning very basic info included on your app - so, whether your declared NOC is 0,A or B, whether your english test results are in line with NOC, document completeness (supporting docs, signatures) and administrative processing, such as date stamping, file creation and gcms entry. After their initial review, the file is sent off to CPP-O for further processing, since they have the final say. CIO will basically weed out those apps that are incomplete or ineligible, and simply identifiable. Detailed reviews are completed out of CPP-O. So it seems to me...
