April 2013 applications- AOR RECEIVED

Hello everyone,

I sent your my application in first week of April and received my AOR on May 23rd. (file # received and says that my file is transfer to visa office for further processing)

Please let me know what is the next step and when should I expect it to happen?

Because everyone keeps saying lots of stuff and I am confused. I track my application online - still doesnt show anything and July is almost gone.

Please help!!!

The application process is quite long. According to the CIC website, its approx 13 months.
Once your file gets reviewed, CIC will contact you and you will be given further instructions.
You really don't have anything to worry about until CIC contacts you with instructions. If you applied in April, look forward to contact after Nov.

Next step you can expect after AOR is any Document request or Medicals.. But for that you have to wait for few months.
Try checking your status on ECAS with your file number.

hey im an april '13 applicant too.
im following closely to the process. but basically u just need to relax for a few months.
next step should be medical requests. right now they are processing applicants from around october, so its gonna take a while to get to april.
if u like u can apply for gcms notes to check the status behind the scenes, but its likely not to have much progress.
