elnido,

Congratulations!!!

What proof of funds you have shown to them when asked? Is there any minimum funds to be shown for CEC category as well ? I am under the impression that no need for proof of funds for CEC...

Thanks for the congratulations. I presented a bank statements. I don't think you need much money to show. Sometimes they don't ask for it but sometimes they do. But it's better to be prepared and in my case I had it when they asked for it.

Hi there,

You are so lucky to received your immigrant visa that early.

We are on the same timeline. Are you via BC PNP?In which category? I am still waiting for my passport request until now.

For sure you'll get yours soon. Mine was Canadian Experience Class applied within Canada.

Time does fly fast though I still have not received PPR nor CoPR yet ...
(My eCASE updated to "Decision Made" on Mar. 11th) ...
As of now I've paid all the necessary fees and submitted all requested ducuments ...

Seeing some Seniors here got hold up for the background check ...
Could I be in the same situation?!

On the other hand, I still hope to receive CoPR shortly ...
Whether or not this is gonna happen sooner or later, I'd keep my fingers + toes crossed ...

Godspeed ...
;D

Good luck! you seem to be very very close to the end.
I applied in May and am still waiting for MR, think I am stuck in some kind of background check as well.
One thing I did is I ordered the CGMS notes, which you can do as well. Won't change the process but will give you some kind of snapshot of where things are with your file.
Haven't gotten the notes myself yet, but that's all I can say. Oh, and again, wishing you good luck!!!!

The last email I received from CPP-O was on Mar.27th 2013 with reference saying:

"Dear xxx:

This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose."

Within the email, it also gives me a biodata form to fill up, and RPRF to pay ...
Both were done & returned CPP-O on the same day ...

Do I now really get stuck with security, criminality and/or medical review while eCase has already been updated to "decision made" on Mar. 11th 2013 ... ?!

Medical Request: Nov. 26th 2012
Medical Done: Dec. 5th 2012

Ecase Showed MD Received: Jan. 21st 2013
Ecase Showed Decision Made: Mar. 11th 2013

Maybe I should go ahead to order CGMS notes to find out what's going on here ...

So you got the RPRF and BIODATA request after your Ecas showed decision made?

Have you contacted them about the DM status on your Ecas? Looks like they made a mistake in updating the status on Ecas. DM means they have finished processing your application and all reviews - criminality, medical, security are complete. If your Ecas said DM on March 11th...and you recd the RPRF email on March 27th...which said reviews are ongoing...there probably was a mistake in updating the Ecas. I think you should probably email CPPO to check on the DM status.

I have applied for my GCMS notes again. Let's see what's holding me from becoming Canadian PR holder.
And I am leaving this country for good! Thank you Canada for everything you gave me for the past 4 years!!
