Im still waiting on medical requests but for now please add me to the list

Filed: April 27
Recieved: April 30
AOR: August 10
Started processing September 28.

I sent my police check with the application, got it done around the same time. Should I be preparing to get a new one soon?

My ECAS was changed to to "processing" too without me receiving MR. Normally they send it together. I assume mine was in the mail as I got my AOR through the mail too.

Well, not really. Lot of people get it separately.
Its also possible you can get it through Email. So check that too. I got my AOR via Email. I highly prefer email, coz I just changed my address on ecas last week but I realized as a worker I had to call in. I have to wait till tomorow. So I hope it does not get sent to the old one. I was sharing an apartment, we both moved out but its under her name so Im not sure if any mail under mine will get transferred to her new one, thus Im paranoid ??? But Im assuming my MR will be around next month since Im a late April applicant, and alot of the early April still hasnt had their MR yet.

still waiting for MR... :'(

I decided to send to the Pilot-ottawa office asking about my application.

It is almost 120 days and no communication at all.

I got an automatic reply:

Please note: if the information requested is available on our website at www.cic.gc.ca<http://www.cic.gc.ca>,

or your application is still within standard processing times

\\http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp<http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp%20\\http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa>), we will not provide a response to your message.

Let us see if they will reply or not ?!!!

I applied in May. Here is my update.

Application Recieved: May 7th, 2012
AOR: August 20th, 2012
Processing began: October 18th, 2012
Medical Requested: October 23, 2012"

Guys I have a quick question. I went into ecas to make sure all my contact information was correct. I updated my mailing address and everything but there is no place for me to update my email address.

My process still says Application received >:(

I understand that getting your permenant residency and citizenship is a priveldge and not a right but CPP seriously needs to do a little bit better in keeping websites and people informed about their status.

i haven't received anything yet but it was in the mail then maybe it hasn't arrived yet.

I am sooo sorry guys I feel really stupid right now. Ive been waiting for the meds request till now and I was confused how can things be in process on Sept 28 when I dont have MR. I did a search on my email....and guess what.

I had the med request sent to me on the 28th of September! Im sooo stupid, I have this reflex thing where I scan my inbox and then click, "read all". This is dumb, I delayed myself a whole month.

Yeah Im happy but I freaked out coz it said I have to do it within 60 days of recieving MR. Oh god 30 days GONE

Guys my PR (CEC) Application got Rejected. Here is what they sent me

Dear xxxxxxxx

I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a member of the Canadian Experience Class and have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.

According to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, applicants in the Canadian Experience Class are assessed on the basis of the pass/fail requirements set out in subsection R87.1(2). The assessment of these criteria determines whether a worker with Canadian experience will be able to become economically established in Canada. The criteria are:

· knowledge of English or French,

· Canadian skilled work experience,

· Canadian educational credentials (for the Post-Graduation Stream only).

Your application was assessed based on the occupation(s) which you identified as part of your skilled work experience in Canada: User support technician NOC 2282 Level B.

I am not satisfied that you meet the skilled work experience and the Canadian educational credentials requirements because although you did obtain a degree from a Canadian institution your transcript indicates that you were not registered in full time studies for two years therefore I evaluated your application under the worker stream and you have not acquired 24 months of full-time employment in the 36 months prior to the submission of your application in a NOC level A, B, 0.

Subsection 11(1) of the Act states that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or for any other document required by the Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act. Subsection 2(1) specifies that unless otherwise indicated, references in the Act to “this Act” include regulations made under it.

Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and Regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application.

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.

Now I went to University for a four years Business program and graduated in like June 2009. I dont understand why they rejected my application saying that the transcript indicates that you were not registered in full time studies for two years. I will get full 24 months of Work Experience on July 15th 2013, but I applied based on education plus 1 year of work experience.

This is really disappointing since I have been in Canada since 2004. Is there a way to appeal this? Should I contact a lawyer?
