Hi All,
I received my PPR, but can anyone please let me know about the fund to be shown for each of us, we are four. Do we have to show in CAD or can we show it in our local currency.

Hi pacchie, did you apply through CEC? If so then you wont need a proof of fund. I just landed today, all they asked from me was my current work permit, COPR and may passport. Goodluck and happy new year!

Hi Pacchie, did you send your passport to Detroit for visa stamping ? Were you asked for your WP ?

i know there are certain countries where you cant send your passports thru courriers. some people did it through a family member or a friend. but if you are allowed then you can send your passports together with the permanent resident fee and other docs straight to detroit, but you will need a canadian address to get it back. you do not need to send them a work permit.

hi guys

got a question, i got an email from CIC asking me to send an IMM 5688 form, passport, and 2 passport photo to the Canadian Consulate General in Detroit. is this the PPR? and because i got this email on the Dec. 27, 2012 do i have to send everything to them by Jan 27. 2013? the reason i am asking because i am going on my vacation on end of Jan, i kinda need my passport to travel, if anyone know if there is anther way to do it please let me know

Maybe I should check with clinic to get a trace number or some sort ...
Though my medical was done on Dec. 5th, plus clinic told me would take 5 business days to send out report ...

Well Canadian,
The medicals always take time 5 days is not at all possible.They gt various reports on the 5th day after medically then they send this report to the health ministry to have a record and health ministry will send it to the clinic and finally they will collate all informations and will send it to CIC.
This whole process takes 3 weeks time.If possible get the tracking number from the clinic that will give you when CIC the medical results.

I have finally received my passport with PR stamping. Have time to Land till November 2013. My time line :

Medicals : November 1st 2012

...Can you guys start updating the status as you was doing before in one table. Saw old post where there is table with records from all candidates..but nothing is updated since last few weeks..or you are following any other document to update it? so I will update mine there.

Thank You..... My consultant in Canada sent me the passport back to India via UPS.
