Congrats, great to see that your file is moving along! hopefully you'll be done shortly after that - ANkara requests the pp when they're ready to issue the visa, or do you still have a few steps ahead of you? In any case - good luck!
Sweden

They only request the passport when they are ready to issue the visa. My husband will drop his passport on Monday morning and will get his visa the next day.

yeah!!! that's excellent news, congrats! nice to see that it's almost over for you, and despite the 16 months posted for Ankara, you got done before that! End of the road, have you booked a ticket for him already?

I'll book the ticket when he'll have the visa in his passport. Wow! How can I go to bed now?

By the way, he would have never been able to get a police certificate from Afghanistan. After we've explained the situation over and over, we've been asked to write and sign a statement about the situation and they accepted it. I wrote this statement by hand in the visa office, just after the interview. I even had to ask them for some paper and a pen!

Caught up on all the spreadsheet updates. Been so busy moving my husband to Calgary. He's finally here!

We're at the one year mark.. I'm hoping we get some more green and pink news this month! :)

thanks for that - the spreadsheet looks great! I'm pretty sure some of the London applicants have already landed but didn't come back to "report"... in my signature you have the London spreadsheet but we don't track when people land, only when they get their COPR, as quite a few people are already in Canada waiting for the PR - so they land just the same day, or the next day they receive the COPR in the mail...
Congrats on getting your husband settled in Canada! :-)

Indeed - today marks exactly 1 year my application was received by CIC! :-)

Two things that come to my mind:

-Send a brief case specific enquiry to you VO
-Apply for the GCMS notes if you haven't done so already. It takes up to 30 calendar days to arrive, but will give you a good insight

You can also try your local MP, especially if you're over your VOs announced processing times for 80% of the cases. I think Manilla is 12 months, so you still have a couple months before then.

how do i apply for the notes? and it is 12 months from the time they received it in manila right? baby is turning a year old in 2 months and my hubby still has no word... and i can't start work yet because of baby.

Yes, unfortunately it's from the time Manilla received it.

What does your eCAS say? It must be really tough with a baby and not having your partner with you. I hope all goes quickly from this point on.

BTW, if you're applying on behalf of your husband, you will need his consent. He needs to sing and scan it for you. At least it used to be like this till last week when we applied for ours. It costs 5 bucks.

im the sponsor so it is his file in Manila. so does it mean im applying in his behalf?
