April 2011 Applicants share their views here

We sent our application to Mississauga in April...still waiting as well....our Visa Office in Buenos Aires.
We hadn`t heard anything from immigration since June 2011 when the VO received our file. ecas changed to "in process" Nov. 15th but no news from Buenos Aires. Then suddenly last week we received an email asking for additional info about my new job, and another email a few days later asking for another police certificate (we moved to another country in November so hadn`t included those police checks in our original application). I am hopeful that this flurry of activity means the end is near...???

Also, my husband´s medical expired last week...what happens now? Do we have to let the know? Or just re-do it? Or wait for the VO to send us instructions on how to proceed?

I also got pregnant during the application process, we haven`t told immigration yet but were also thinking of asking the doc. for a letter at the next appointment and sending it to the VO.

Stay strong April group....we`ll be there soon... I can almost taste the maple syrup!!

My wife's medical expired on 7 March but we didn't contact CHC. I heard that re-medical should only be done if they ask for it.

Congratulations on the pregnancy! (It sure seems to be part of the terrain for spousal visa applications.)

It's amazing that the same procedure can go so many different ways.
 
Just to give an update on my case.

My wife is going for her re-medical on Thu Mar 21. Hopefully things go well and there is no issue. As mentioned in my earlier posts, she is 3 months pregnant. I hope CIC doesn't make this an issue and send her visa soon. CIC also requested to submit Passports once the medical is done. I will be depositing RPRF today and submitting a copy to Mississauga office and one to the CHC Islamabad.

Here is the Case update.

Medical done: 22 March 2012
Passport submitted: 22 March 2012
RPRF paid: 21 March 2012
RPRF receipt e-mail to Isb office: 21 March 2012
Acknowledgment received from Isb: 22 March 2012
RPRF (Copy2) mailed to Mississauga office: 21 March 2012

Will keep you posted of any progress on the case.

Hi enna, you should request CAIP notes or GCMS they are called now. It will provide you with information on what the VO wrote in the notes and will have you prepared for the interview.

Also, uccemebug, can you remove that passport request on my column? I will be contacting my MP about my case and I want to include the spreadsheet you've maintained for us :)
The VO in my case is way too bias. I am afraid that he/she has already made up their minds and the interview is just a formality. I don't think this VO even read the 20 additional written pages I sent as well as my wife's own recount of our story.

My MP's office was very helpful, good luck with that.

Enna0 and evanhindra, your updates are in. Enna0, that's a long wait just for an interview request, but it's better than nothing and/or rejection. Best of luck to you!

Waoooooo! Congratulations. I think your application was processed really faster as Islamabad has 26 months time line.
 
Well they requested an interview this week but it is for a date next week and it will be in person in france woohoo its april 3

Great! This is the first request for interview any of us Aprilites have experienced, good to hear that schedulinig an interview is not going to be a major wait in of itself. (One hears that it's quite different for inland interviews.)
