Right but I dont know about you but not being with my husband for 6 months is deadly. ! So everyday is a day closer to PR for me! Immigration and my job are stressing me so much that I even started to do eczema! lol.. ???

I can believe it. We're doing it the other way, my wife's with me but no health care, no job, no ability to enrol in school....

Same thing happended to me....my address showed up again but no change in status of the application. Not sure what this means, probably just a glitch in the system.

hi uccemebug,

i have been following this thread so the past couple of months, but never had the time to join this forum.
i too am sponsoring my wife that is japanese at the begining of april
today is she received an email from the embassy of canada in tokyo.
the e-mail serves to confirm receipt of her immigration application package.
it looked like a standard general letter of aor.
but at the bottom of the letter, they request her to send in her passport.
maybe you misread the letter you recieved on sept 12 ?

good luck.
Jimmy.

Nice work, Jimmy! Thanks for posting that, you're quite right there was a request for the passport underneath the five paragraphs of irrelevant autogenerated text. My wife and I had both apparently stopped reading by that point at what seemed like a simple AOR. You'd think, given the importance of this communication, that we'd read every word.

We're delighted. We feel pretty stupid, but delighted.

Thanks again.

uccemebug thank you for posting this tread.
it helped a lot.
i felted i wasn't alone in this process. :)

I didn't post it, I just kept it going where I could.

And thanks to you, my wife's passport is in the mail! 8^) I'm going to add to my website contents about this, I'm amazed that we made this mistake and hopefully we can prevent others from doing so.

Hiii everyone!!
We got a new weird ecas update this morning... I don't know what's up with them.. On my ecas ( the sponsor) the second line showing double things is there.. Grrr.. I was hoping more for an email asking for the passport.. :(
